#Move the viewmodel's position in Bodycam mode (especially for pistols)

I love the new experimental bodycam mode, and playing with it really changes the experience for the better for me, but it's pretty annotying that for some weapons, and all handguns, you can't take aim as your hands will block the view of where you'll be shooting.
I think moving the viewmodel a bit lower or just having a toggle to be able to ads normally while in bodycam mode would be very nice (and I would literally never turn it off)

Mfs when the bodycam view is realistic..

Perhaps a change to a "helmet" cam would be better than a body cam? Keep the effect but just move the camera back to the default view.

A seperate option for helmet cam could be cool, I personally like the bodycam

#

And helmet cam would likely not have the same view, it'd be somewhat elevated and to the right/left

A Bodycam and a Helmetcam mode

#

so you can use whichever you want

I mostly say helmet cam just so they can have it "usable" as the body cam is beyond wonky in terms of aiming and such. They could just add a small thing the front of the helmet(s) and keep the view as is but just have the filter over it.

I will say though the glare due to the filter is beyond blinding when using any sort of flashlight. And it's pretty hard to aim in any meaningful way. Luckily I tend to use shotguns so accuracy is an option in that case XD.

I'm not against the bodycam mode, but it makes some parts of the game really janky to play, just having the filters and a helmet cam would be way more manageable for people who plan to use it a lot

Making them seperate options feel both simpler and more realistic to me personally.

#

The bodycam is where it normally would be on an officer, swat, etc.

The filters make any sort of light (shoulder lamp or weapon light), absolutely useless with how much it blinds you. Not to mention you can't aim worth sheit. At least with the helmet cam, you could just add a small lens to the front to not have to change where the players view is relative to the camera itself. As is, it is nothing more than a novelty you turn for a few seconds. Anyone new coming in, or anyone wanting to actually play will see you can't aim and even worse can't see due to ridiculous amounts of glare/bloom when you look at anything then turn it off. And even worse your models arms will block everything due to where they are placed and such when aiming and looking around.

Sometimes, gameplay needs to come over realism. And in this case, I would side with the gameplay part for this feature. The glare can easily be tweaked and reduced to not blind you. But the player view needs to be altered or changed to a helmet cam. The idea is fun, and I don't want to see it removed. But it needs to be tweaked.

The realism is perfectly fine as it is. The best option is just to add a separate toggle for the filter and the camera position, no need for a ton of changes to the existing system if it can be fixed easily with a single extra toggle.

Realistic body cam

Realistic(ish) body cam XD.

That would be easier to make and better

That I can get behind. And if such is the case then no need for a helmet cam either. AS the default view kinda covers that. They just need to fix the bloom and glare issues first when using any sort of flash light. My retina's will thank them for it.

And as other's have said add the date and length of recording time. Little touch to add that little extra. And perhaps your steam/game handle too.
