Funny story, we did have solo ranked. A vss-maining pubg streamer campaigned long and hard for ranked solos a few years back. It happened. Pubg devs listened, and added It. On that day, the streamer launched his stream with an even bigger pearly white smile than usual and got many tier 3 subs to reward his efforts. And then he actually played It. It took 6 matches for joy of life to be completely removed from his bone marrow. His mods quit en masse, his viewership tanked, his wife left him, his bwm developed a parasitic battery drain which took 9 months to diagnose. His mechanic then left him too.

So yeah, this is why we don't have solo ranked.
