@celest panther I've tried every bit of troubleshooting that has been suggested, I've tried OC, frame limit (in game), frame limit (RTSS), no OC, no frame limit, uninstall, reinstall, exclusions, everything. As the game goes on, no matter what you do, it gets progressively worse until the final couple of circles and your churning out a constant 100%. 9700k, 32gb @ 3200mhz, 2080. Win 10 2004, 452.06 drivers, heavily optimised machine. I'll spit out 40% usage in the lobby, with frames capped to 60..
I'm assuming we're no closer to a solution as we nudge closer to the weekend?

Hey, first time playing PUBG since 2018 and I was actually surprised how good the performance got (especially that the game wouldn't framedrop EVERY time you open the inventory). But now I am running into a more serious problem. FPS and general performance is fine, but every couple minutes the game would have freezes (some for like 0.5-1s) and sometimes for up to 30 seconds. After that it will come back sometimes or just crash. So for 1 round I have to restart the game 2-3 times to reconnect which is just stupid. Now the even weirder thing is, it happens on that new desert map and on Vikendi, but it doesn't happen at all on Erangel.

Another one, just update windows to 2004 version (latest) now the game doesnt upload at all. I press it on steam, the button changes to stop then after some time (round a minute) goes back to green play button, and nothing happens

Avast has been known to cause some issues recently. Try disabling it to see if you are able to load normally. If you can, you know the cause.

If it doesnt help try going into Settings ->Troubleshooting -> Audio see if it finds any problems
If it still doesm't help uninstall all audio drivers from device manager and restart your pc [They will reinstall after reset]

Hello. I am putting here the requested info about my hardware. Since 8.2 I am having lots of performance issues, including +5 seconds full freeze (after those +5 seconds the game resumes, but with halved rate of frames per second). Thanks to RivaTuner statistics I can se that fps and frametimes go to **** when CPU is 100% usage. The game is installed on a SSD. I hope you can solve this serious problem. Thank you.

@proper lotus I had the same issue id go to; (search) ease of access audio settings>change other sound settings>playback>then find your output >Rightclickproperties>then play around with enhancements and levels.
also on the taskbar if you right click on the volume there will be (spatial sound you can mess around with those options id suggest it off.

voice chat only works only if we are using any in-game vpn like exit lag.

@frozen wadi if it's a country wide block them we can't do anything about that. Some countries block certain voice applications at the ISP level so I recommend speaking to them first.

@quiet nexus you can try upping anti aliasing, view distance. Just go to a training map and go to a quiet place and try upping settings one by one until you find a good combination. Each system is different even if another has the same hardware.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to report this, but I didn't receive the correct amount of EP from watching the two PCS2 NA days and answering quiz questions. I received all of the EP from the 'drops' (6,250 total), but it seems like none of the EP I was supposed to get from the quiz actually went through (which was several thousand at least; can't check the exact number anymore because the list in the extension has reset).
(edit: I have submitted a support ticket.)
(edit: Apparently EP from the quiz will only be provided after PCS2 ends, though this wasn't made clear anywhere.)

I have the same problem and today I discovered an old twitch account with the same email address. The account was linked to the same pubg global account (in the twitch settings - connections). I can't test this theory yet due to the limit, but the old account shows that drops are enabled. @quick chasm

This issue does not affect all systems, it is not easy to identify, it is not reproducible in house. It seems like there are many different things that can affect it in different systems so it is not 1 thing that is causing it on all systems but rather dependable from a system to system and not occurring at all on many systems.
Some players have had it because their CPU was overclocked, some have had it because of their GPU driver version, some have had it because of their windows version.
And some of them were able to fix it by finding out where the problem was

I can literally show you reports over 3 years and how long it took them to get fixed, if at all.
besides the fact the game actually makes the players put time and effort to report bugs as a routine, instead of playing what they paid for.
the frustration is humongous, most of the people just left and I dont even know why I care anymore, but this... this is unnormal. The devs send the mods to paste the same shit instead of standing infront and take responsibility.
Why do you think all those people are leaving so rapidly? they are tired of it, and I guarantee a lot more will leave and this game will die, at least in most of the world, part from asia probably.
