Game keeps crashing deep into ranked matches. I'm on Xbox One. I crash running. In the middle of driving at high speeds for 1 minute or more. Them on top of that I get RP taken away from me? It's not right. Then the game takes so long to load back up you're already dead before you can get back in or it gives an error when you try to get back in. I like playing this game but this is starting to piss me off and it's taking longer to rank up while I'm hemorrhaging points due to crashes. Smh. I've tried every reset method I could find and I'm still having this issue. I have a solid state external drive and I still have the issue. Do the dev's have anything lined up as far as a fix?

So, since it wasn't ever addressed either on the forums or previous post, I'll ask again: is anything being done about the SMS approval issue where people can't get access to ranked because the SMS system is broken?
Several folks have gone weeks/months trying to resolve it and bluehole support has gone radio silent and started just closing the tickets instead of addressing it.

But, since forums are shutting down and tickets are going unanswered (and being closed because they've been open for months), not sure how to continue to track this issue until it is fixed.
Since a person is required to input a phone number to be verified for ranked play, they rely on being able get that verficiation or not play ranked. Several people in Canada (in paraticular) and in some parts of the US cannot have number authenticated. I have a friend in my group that has had the same cell number on a national carrier in Canada for 10 years (it's not a prepaid) and has been trying for months to get it resolved. His daughter, with the exact same phone, on the same plan/carrier had no issue.
So, coming to discord to see if it's something that at least can be checked on here so that hopefully when S8 starts we can play ranked as a group finally.

Right, i know desync and all that is terible in this game but why the game is not detecting as hit when obviously the player is there on my screen and bullets just go trought him. I know pubg has client side hitreg detection so at leas blood splaters shoud shown and I would understand that was a server side desync... the problem is that this has ocurred for the last few months or so and I find very dificult to win 1v1 fights. feels like I allways need to shoot more than 20 bullets to kill someone where I die in 1 ms from everyone that starts shooting at me . nobody misses me lol

Like i said, replay is super in-accurate. It looked like you where hitting him in the end in the replay, but the replay isn't a 1:1 playback of what happened

So here is my deal. I've submitted several tickets, created a post on the forums (now they are dying so no hope there), even messaged on facebook. I've received no emails or updates on the problem either. WHEN WILL THE SMS AUTHENTICATION BE FIXED. I literally just had to do a verification to post on this discord, I don't understand how this can still be an issue after so long, with no updates on the situation. Why is this not a top priority thing? It's more like, "oh let's add another train track to a map, that'll make players happy". Meanwhile, the people I used to play with are ranking up and I am not able to at all, on top of any of the rewards available for ranked play only. I refuse to play against bots as well, because none of the people I used to play with play normal mode now. Even IF I can somehow play ranked one day, all my teammates are already so far ahead that I won't be able to play with them until I can rank up to their level. PRIORITIES PLEASE. Get them in order. I understand there are teams for different things, but maybe throw a few more onto the team that is supposed to be handling this? Or get a new third party company to manage your sms shit.

If it were specifically a game issue then everyone would likely have the same problem. Chances are something you have running in the background is terminating the process.
Close down everything in the background that isn't steam and try again. If it launches, slowly relauch things until you find the conflict.

If its crashing then there are logs that are generated.
This is the only game that people seem to constantly have issues with, terrible coding.

That is most likely the cause.
In the past its been related to battleye and how they update it based on windows versions
PUBG doesn't officially support the insider builds of windows, so experiences may vary from system to system.
Release builds shouldn't present an issue. If it does, we can investigate further.

If you google "Battleye windows insider builds" you can see a history of issues related to unreleased builds of windows and their interaction with anti cheat systems.

My game constantly crashes to desktop with no error message whenever I try to launch it, every time I launch the game normally, intro loads, then it says INITIALIZATION, after that it says CONNECTING and then after a second to two seconds it just crashes to desktop without any message.
It is very consistent as it happens every single time at the exact same phase into the loading: a few seconds into the loading screen while it says "CONNECTING"
I have legitimately tried EVERYTHING to fix this, but it seems like it's some sort of bug with the game, how likely is this to actually get fixed at this point? I mean, the forums are being closed down and everything, my hopes aren't high. I'm in the process of building a new PC (waiting for certain parts), I put a new GPU into my rig, as a test, completely reinstalled the drivers, and this still happens.
I have something over 1600 hours in the game and I took a big long break from it, I tried to play it a few months back and I was faced with the same issue, and now it's few months since and the same issue is still present. The most accurate assessment from me as to when this started happening would be somewhere during Season 5, some months after the release of Vending Machines in the 5.1 update.

The best I can approximate is that this either started happening sometime during Season 5 or Season 6, I recall playing in Season 5 when the new Vending Machines update came out, I took a break not long after and I tried playing again in Season 6 but this issue has been preventing me from playing the game since. Again, nothing has changed on my setup, for now, other than the graphics card but as I tested it both with the old and the new GPU, I can conclude that it hasn't affected the issue at all.

@weary warren I just managed to 'fix' the issue, thanks to your troubleshooting guide on the forum, it was legitimately the only thing I haven't tried: I tethered my PC to my Android phone and used mobila data, now it works
But that's not the real solution, I am still curious as to what's blocking the game on my normal internet connection via LAN cable

Well, I tried tethering with my mobile data, it works, I tried tethering with wifi (so the same modem and ISP, just wifi vs cable) and that works as well. I will do more testing and report back, thank you!

Ok PUBG i would love to play your game but being on a Mac my only options are geforce now or stadia. I had no problems playin on GEFORCE NOW until you opted not to support it. I expect it was due to pressure from Stadia to be the only one available.... I tried Stadia last weekend as they had a 1 month free trial. My experience was the worst... input lag of about 2-3 seconds....just not playable and not an option. Is there a timeline that you have to wait before reconsidering support of GEFORCE Now?

Tethering via USB w/ mobile data = PUBG works

Normal LAN cable = PUBG crashes on "Connecting..."
I tried port forwarding and it doesn't work, so I am confused. What is the difference between tethering via my phone using wifi and connecting via LAN cable that could be causing this? I even tried disabling firewall on my modem, so maybe it's not modem related?

Please bear in mind that PUBG isn't "crashing", it's closing because it cannot authenticate and therefore closes.

With some help from more people complaining against my ISP (Ziggo / Liberty Global Netherlands) we finally have a good ping again to the Frankfurt PUBG Servers. Cloudflare advertised Softlayer networks in Lisbon as interesting route and Orange Telecom France & Poland accepted that route. So my ping is from 60 to 20ms now:

@celest panther It's applied for all (Ziggo / Liberty Global) customers in the Netherlands and it's confirmed by people on the Orange Telecom network in Poland. But Orange Telecom is a transit provider for more networks. So maybe more people in other countries in Europe are happy now.

Hey guys. Just bought astro mixamp for my setup mainly for my audio pleasure. It sounds great with different headphones but for some reason pubg volume is much lower than the rest of the system, music ,video, other games, perfect sound . Had the same problem before with onboard audio jack or usb doesn't make any difference. A while ago was playing with 60 in game volume now everything is 100 volume and game sounds low

Is there a generalized IP address we can use to trace the route for S-Dal servers for console in NA? My packet loss to those servers has been 5-15% ever since the move to Dallas, whereas I get 0% packet loss on W-vir servers. Is it azure or AWS servers? They typically provide for a test IP address to ping and test latency. Can you point me in that direction?

Ok. I did that in the past and got a general response that servers were being moved to a more central location and packet loss issues were a known issue. I.e. nothing changed

Hey guys. Just bought astro mixamp for my setup mainly for my audio pleasure. It sounds great with different headphones but for some reason pubg volume is much lower than the rest of the system, music ,video, other games, perfect sound . Had the same problem before with onboard audio jack or usb doesn't make any difference. A while ago was playing with 60 in game volume now everything is 100 volume and game sounds low
@wooden fractal i have noticed that in training mode it kils my ears as wel as spectate mode. I have to crank everything on 100volume to hear the game while spectate and training mode kils. Probably a game bug ?

I do remember PUBG publishing that they were going to azure when they made the server switches, I donโt know why they canโt confirm that now

@heavy verge You can use windows resource monitor -> networking to get the IP of the connected server. You can then to a lookup for the location and owner.

cpu always above 70%, nothing running in the background, and during match it jumps to 100% and i get a lot of stuttering and fps drops
What graphics settings are you using?
AA medium
Textures medium
everything else low (not very low)
Your CPU is on the lower end of the scale, the x400 chips generally have much lower clock speeds and boost clocks
While this may seem odd, increasing your graphics often improves your CPU usage as the workload gets offloaded to the GPU rather than the CPU. I recommend playing with your settings to find the sweet spot for your system
@celest panther my settings have always been the same and my cpu was fine with 55-65%, and pubg released a patch once and it screwd everything up (i think it was a patch in season 7), even people with i7-8700 are suffering from this, hell chocotaco got millions of stutters on his stream and im sure his 2 pc setup aren't the problem in this case
That's kinda the same to me as well, I play on Anti-Aliasing High and Textures High, everything else is very low (Ryzen 5 2600, RTX 2060, 16gb ram DDR4 3200MHz), yet I'm getting around 60-80fps, and occasional stutters with crashing.
I know this has been an ongoing issue for a number of players. We added some performance improvements with update 8.1 which should help with performance issues players have.
Some settings have more impact on CPU performance than others, so I'd recommend playing with settings to find the sweet spot for your system.
I currently run a 6700k that has been in use for 5 years and achieve 100+ FPS without any problems, however before I reinstalled my system last week I was suffering some performance issues too.
When was the last time either of you did a full system wipe?
Last week when I saw my PUBG was crashing way too much, and low fps for my specs. The full wipe did nothing.
Cleaned out my pc, changed the thermal compound, didn't help.
and at the same time, just in case, I reinstalled my drivers 2 times, still nothing.
So I'm looking forward to the next update, and I'm expecting something. Cause other games, play better, like I see that I'm getting more FPS than usual, but PUBG stayed the same.
We'll continue looking into performance concerns at our end to eliminate things that could be impacting players.
I do feel there could be some external factors that are also contributing, though I'm unsure exactly what.
Please be assured that we are fully aware of the issues players are reporting and we aren't ignoring everyone ๐

Oh and an extra question, when I start a PUBG match, I'm getting around 70-80fps like I've mentioned, but when the zone shrinks more and more, I just see my FPS going down and down. Till my fps becomes 40-50, can you explain why?
I tried playing everything on very low, but the fps drops don't change, at the end of the match, I'll be playing on 40-50fps (depending what kind of settings I play on)
This will most likely be related to the number of players left alive being in increasingly close proximity to each other.
But if 10 players are left alive, how would that affect my fps? I got the feeling that it was the zone it self, and the effects which are with it.

What I do think however it might be related to, is ragdolls. I've noticed few of my fellow players starting to complain major drops right after a death pops up

I'm not sure how ragdolls work in PUBG, but as I've noticed, when I kill an enemy player, the body disappears, maybe it just piles up somewhere? A missed programming code maybe?

Lightning as I remember. And when a player runs through the zone, their screen starts blistering as if there's lightning on it or something.
yeah maybe its the effects I mean they would be all over the map surrounding you so makes sense

If you think your problem is related to ragdolls, go to pubg launch option & write (-KoreanRating) without the brackets, what this will do is make players bodies disappear on kill and change blood color to green.
also will disable the needle sound when using a first aid

Hi @celest panther , i have been ignored about my question. Is it normal that the game sound volume has a big difference from the rest of the system? Even training mode and spectate is much louder that a normal match. Every thing is on 100%volume and I barely hear my own footsteps.
IRL Gunshots are loud, footsteps are quiet. This difference in sound levels is called dynamic range.

Notice: Still big problems on Miramar and PUBG Crash/PC crash. When looking to the right while driving. PUBG freezes, and i have to restart computer. Due to PUBG locks my main monitor. Everything is up and going, as long as i have it on my 2nd monitor.

Now it happened again... was using 6x scope + m24 on erangel. My screen just freezes when im taking it half way up. I can all write this on 2nd monitor while my other is just freezed.. Now i have to restart computer, to get into the game: then im dead cuz of the zone. Thank you PUBG Corp for never fixing this.

I was having some performance issues so reinstalled everything last week which resulted in my performance returning.
I have no performance issues, only PUBG crashing. Never crashes in TDM etc. I can run other "heavy" games, which demand more from my PC than PUBG does. They do not have this problem unfortunately :/

Missing full re-install + step 12...(but this is not a connection problem). + I dont see why i should be needing a full re-install and all the time that goes with it. When it clearly PUBG that is crashing and ive reinstalled PUBG several times, integrity of files etc etc.. It doesnt seem to be a fix for it, and just today ive had 2 of the same crash(wich I then need to re-start my computer) so i can use my main monitor.
I'll try and re-install PUBG tonight.. But to be honest, i have no hope. I've reported this problem like 6-12 months ago(several times) on the offical forums. And i know there are more out there that has the same problem.

If you haven't done a clean reinstall then that is your next step.
Verifying the file integrity won't clear out old settings as they aren't part of the game files steam checks.

Ive been playing the game since season 3 and recently I had a problem on my laptop with the emulator , it keeps giving me this error โ The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix the problemโ.
So what I did was reinstalling the emulator on my laptop and when I finished and logged in with my account I got banned for 10 years, noting that I had the same problem before and I also was banned for 2 months.

The closer they get, the more updates a second you receive.
simply put you're receiving more information, thus you have to process more information, more often than you do early game.

The more data you have to process per frame, the higher your frametimes

I'm having a problem starting PUBG. When I presst PLAY on steam, it says running but nothing opens. Then I wait about 10 seconds and the game closes.
I think the problem is with the TslGame.exe file because when i verify the integrity of game files it repairs the TslGame.exe file (that's what I think because of the "date modified") And then when I start the game the file gets somehow corrupted and the "date modified" isn't the same anymore (It's much older modified date). So then I'm back at the point that the verify integrity of game files updates the TslGame.exe file...

Iโm new to pc gaming and attempted to launch pubg, it doesnโt seem to start up and a message comes up saying โ an error occurred while updating player Unknownโs battle grounds (app running) does anyone know how I can fix this?
Open task manager and check if there is a background process still running (tslgame.exe) or anything with PUBG's logo. Close them and try starting again
Some processes can get stuck on the antivirus (I would recommend adding exception for PUBG's folder) and timeout other process.

Turns out upgrading to fios 1 gigabit internet in Philadelphia with the same hardware (router) I had before did the trick and got rid of all my packet loss and improved the ping marginally ๐ figured Iโd let you know for reference. Philadelphia to Dallas connection now functioning like a charm ๐

A hotfix has been applied to live servers to resolve the following issues:
- Items failing to spawn correctly on all maps
- Dynamic weather being applied to Sanhok in Ranked
- Players diving immediately upon exiting the plane
- Squadmate UI marker displays incorrectly
I don't see any fix! it became worst!!!!! ranked is unplayable, huge fps drop, and hitching all-time when opening map/inventory! I don't see any fix to CPU usage or performance improvements, the first 2 days I play a lil bit ranked with fewer problems but after the "HOTFIX" it's unplayable! I can't get a single kill!!!!!! @celest panther *PUBG the performance issues do not matter or what? If that's the case just tell so I can stop wasting my time with this game.

Overclocks are often the cause of many crashes.
@pale harbor that looked a lot like the intermittent locking a lot of us were facing a few months back. I fixed my issue by running pubg in admin mode. BUt that's just my PC, my specs are much higher than yours and I still had that issue until i ran the tslgame.exe in admin mode. Again, your results may vary

My friend has been having a problem recently where he has a 1-3 second input delay while in game. His cpu is at 80% use and gpu is at 40%. he has uninstalled and deleted all files, verified the integrity of the files, lowered the graphic settings and nothing seems to work. he has not been able to find similar problems online. Aight. So, I've reinstalled the game on 3 different drives. (HDD -> SATA SSD -> M.2 SDD). I've done so 3 times on the SATA, and 3 times today on the M.2.
Specs: Ryzen 7 3700X Stock clock. 32 GB of 3000Mhz RAM, 4x8 config running at high timings at 3000Mhz. MSI Geforce 1080ti, stock clocks. Cat 5e ethernet cable, running a 300Mbps connection, within 5 feet of the router. Game experiences beyond extreme ping and packet loss every game after 5-7 mins, rendering game unplayable, I'm able to force close the game, and rejoin, same thing happens again 5-7 minutes later like clockwork. What is the issue, or what could it be? about 1700 ping max and I think around 50% packet loss. Service provider is AT&T fiber, in a large city, have lost internet connection once in about 8 months.

Why PUBG game have diference in performance ranked vs normal games. Ranked is very bad in performance. Its the same game same folder diferent mode. I don't understand

so, at times you can have 50+ people still alive by like Phase 4-5 in a small circle

Question for PUBG streamers - got a question that I'm wondering if some of you might have some experience with. I've noticed for a while now (at least last 2-3 weeks) that if I limit my in-game FPS to 90, my stream runs smooth at 60fps. But if I uncap my in-game FPS and get 110+ while streaming, my OBS stream output becomes really low frames (15-30fps). My experience looks good, but the user viewing it has a horrid experience! Feels like this shouldn't be an issue on a 9900K + 2080Ti, wondering if anyone else who streams or produces has noticed anything similar?
