Ensure there are no bandwidth-intensive applications, or other streaming applications running on your network. You may also want to check your Task Manager to ensure resource availability. Hardware issues such as a poor microphone connection can also degrade audio quality.

Please try these steps to overcome the issue:

  1. Please make sure that you have pressed the Talk button (by default, press T to enable this feature)
  2. Check the microphone feedback in the game settings
  3. Please make sure that the microphone and the headsets are plugged into the appropriate ports
  4. Ensure the sound is not muted or the volume level is too low. Also, check the volume mixer settings on your computer
  5. Consider disabling your firewall. If it didn't help, please contact your ISP to ensure the following ports are open
  • Incoming UPD: 5060, 5062, 3478
  • Outgoing TCP: 80 and 443
  • Universal UDP: 12000 – 17000

The last weeks have been an awful experience at times. In about half of my games I usually get 5-30 second freezes, about 30% of those ends up crashing the game. If it doesnt crash, I get a quick message when it unfreezes saying "Network lag". Several other players I usually play with experiences the same. Can PUBG plzzz fix this??

Hard drives have a lot slower loading speeds than SSDs. It is recommended to have it installed on an SSD. I don't think much can be improved loading wise if the HDD itself is older as well.

Theres a lot of factors at play, like how old the hdd is, what is it used for, is it filled with other files / data. Reading speeds suffer the more stuff you have on the hdd and the older it gets generally as well.

What is your RAM situation like? Not 100% sure but slow ram may also contribute to that

You do not connect to the pubg game servers while playing other games. If there is a connection error between you or your isp and the game servers than this would be the reason why your connection is timing out

before update 7.1 my average ping was 70 -80ms in EU server
after the update i get ping with average 100-110 ms on S-fra
except when the server is w-a-fra i get my normal ping, or by using a vpn.
however, after the last server maintenance i played all the games yesterday on w-a-fra with my normal ping and it was pretty good and normal.
but, today i opened the game and my game connected to s-fra again and got the high ping again.
there is no problem with my internet connection. and that a game issue.
i hope you take my problem into consideration.

I couldn't say without getting my hands on your computer, but the results of a speed test are not always representative of quality of connection, especially as speed tests are conducted to your closest server.

"Network Lag Detected" means our server has not received information from your computer. If that isn't due to your internet connection it could be due to your computer locking up. So I would try and look and see if the rest of your computer is locked up when you get this error, or if it is just the game. If it is just the game then I would go back to it being due to an inconsistent internet connection.

"Network Lag Detected" means one of the following possibilities:

  1. Your connection quality isn't consistent. Your client isn't communicating with the server often enough, and this is why it is displaying this message and freezing your game.
  2. Your PC is locking up. When this happens your client doesn't communicate with the server, and results in the same thing as point 1.
  3. The game is locking up. See points 1 & 2.

If you can check if your client/PC is locking up you can try and find the cause. You should also make sure that any firewalls or third party applications are not affecting your connection also.

@weary warren There seems to be a pickup on the amount of freezes and game crash the last couple of weeks. I am usually getting this at least once per session. Same as the guys I am playing with, frequent game crashes without warning. It seems this is a bigger issue than just network lag. If it is, there seems to be so many cases it could be worth looking into there being server side issues?
