It was my Realtek that was causing the freezes. I went to HDMI sound and USB mic, i dont get that anymore.

Everything else is automatic, it might need a reboot afterwards.

My experience repairing and building PCs for almost 20 years of my life says differently, unless they've changed things the last few years
Either way itll work, but some hardware has specific features that arent supported when you download drivers using Windows Update
For example, GPU's ... The drivers Windows Update downloads are stock NVIDIA drivers but if you're running a custom GPU from ASUS, Zotac, etc then you're missing out on specific features

So for the past couple updates I've been stuttering a crap ton. I get shot I drop down to 25 fps. I 180 and I stutter for a few seconds. It's not like me pc is below par. It works fine on any other game.
I have a 1060 and I have everything on very low. Except for anti aliasing and texture which are at medium
And my render resolution at 120%
I normally get 85-115 fps
But then frames drop and I stutter a decent amount of the time

Before those 4-5 patchs, my PC started to Shutting Down every time my game was going to start the Lobby, and i tried a lot of stuff including reinstalling, nothing work, thats why i did not played since yesterday.
Now after this 66MB, i just started the game and my PC do not Shutdown, but the lobby did not loaded due to the maintenance.
Now i need to wait for the maintenance, to try again and see if the problem is the Lobby loading or what.

I had a faulty psu some years ago. What happened was, when my GPU required too much power. My screen would just turn black from nowhere and I could hear a click from the computer. And then it would just start up again.
It only occured in some games.
All fans and everything would also shut down when the screen turned black.
Is that what is happening?

Hmm, what you could do is download a bsod viewer tool to see if windows is reporting any errors when the restart occurs.
It is possible there's something else going on, and it's possible windows is reporting said issue into its logs.

@viral monolith The error is related to the GPU drivers in fact, NVIDIA announced an issue with the recent GPU updates, seemingly windows removes some of the drivers when your PC is idle. The above step will fix it for you

I've always been taught that when you download the drivers from Microsoft you get the raw driver minus any software included. I'm not sure if that's changed recently but a lot of times you get left the very basic driver to gain limited functionality to the hardware
If that's changed then that's great honestly because it makes it a lot easier for users.
Kinda like when you plug in a mouse ... The basic driver to recognize the device and use it but what if you have a gaming mouse, like Corsair. Windows doesn't automatically download CUE for you, etc

In most cases this is true for modern hardware, but sometimes older systems don't manage this in windows 10 and still require manual driver downloads.
I do recall when beta testing windows 7 years back that I was surprised that all my stuff just "worked" without needing to install drivers (coming from an xp system at the time)

@celest panther Yes thats because windows has default drivers built into the OS for generic hardware like mice, keyboards, monitors, etc etc ... but when using these drivers you lose out on specific functionality that the OEM manufacturer drivers provide, for example, RGB color control, full range of sensitivity levels in a gaming mouse, surround sound functionality, deeper control of audio and other features specific to the hardware

Reinstalled pubg after not playing for a while launched my game and was greeted with an error about a Discord.dll, so i closed my discord and verified my game integrity but the game keeps crashing.

At present it's on 4.16.3 so hasn't got the more recent engine updates that help with player counts

Fortnite appear to have solved some of it, likely down to running the latest version of the engine
The ue4 dedicated server was never designed with 100 players in mind. Anything over 50 becomes problematic
Epic did address some of this in updates to ue4 with versions 4.18 and 4.19.

When I try to start the test server I get the message that the servers are too busy, try again later. I have gotten this message constantly for the past 3 hours. How do I get in the game?
