@tall crescent try very low settings except texture + view distance + anti aliasing on High .
That should take off the load of your cpu and share it between cpu and gpu
And give you a smoother gameplay

No problem, remember, AA,Textures and View Distance are gpu related settings, having them on higher settings utilizes the gpu. Otherwise the gpu "wont do anything" basically and the cpu will do all heavy lifting

are you aware of the bug when switching seats with ctrl+1 or ctrl+2 switching to the weapons bound to those numbers? Might not be as big of a problem for others but I've got grenades bound to 1 so whenever I switch to drivers seat it switches my activated weapon to grenades and since there's no way of switching weapons when driving I'll be jumping out with grenades equipped

you might have already done it but try updating everything you can
doing driver sweeps is 100% necessary these days too
you cant trust any official developer to be rigorous with their cleanup of files
e.g. you install 6 diff dates of drivers over some time, then all of a sudden you wait ages and get the latest, chances are that installer wont clean up the ancient files properly
its like these older video games you get on steam, they come prepack with old versions of directx/VCredist, the shit is useless for anything other than the game that installs it, and causing compatibility errors
but thats why people say its best to have atleast 2 HDDs, or 1 SSD/ 1 HDD, and keep all your modern taxing crap on ur SSD
that way, if you want older software, you slap it on the HDD and keep all compatibility crap separate
unless you want to spend months scouring the internals of your PC trying to delete conflicting files to fix errors that dont exist anymore, because people tend to driver sweep before they install new drivers
come along and blame this and that, when its actually their own doing
devs are stumped, release hotfixes that break more than they fix, create errors for users that never had any, just to fix something that was actually caused by a myriad of ancient drivers that end up conflicting
cant tell you how long i played beth titles having massive errors because i had several versions of directx/vcredist across my pc
everything inbetween that too, netframe works, all that crap microsoft usually packages with their GFWL titles

Hit "Driver" then choose your operating system and then download the driver for on-board VGA drivers
That'll be the driver for your onboard graphics
Sometimes if that's not up to date, it can cause issues with gaems.
