my computer keeps crashing after a few games i have AMD R9 390 GPU and AMD FX 8350 CPU the CPU is getting to hot and crashes the whole system, i cleaned out my comp last night and took off the factory water cooler and reapplyied therm paste to the cpu and cooler, it looked good for the night (played a few hrs,.. then today it crashed after 2games) is there some known fix or a way i can take the load off the CPU, i have played most if not all triple A games realeased in the past few yrs and NEVER had this issue i play any game maxed out on ultra why this game (on low settings even is giving me so much trouble?)

are you sure it's the CPU?
also overclocking might be a problem
(including memory, CPU and GPU overclocking)
if you have them overclocked i'd advice you to take off all of the overclocks and apply them one at a time to see which one possibly causes the problem
PUBG gets my GPU extremely hot for some reason, some games that have used 100% of the GPU only rose my GPU temps to 72'C but PUBG gets it to 76'C even with extreme good cooling
if you have a closed up case that might be a problem too

Has anyone had issues using a headset with this game? I have tried both a USB and a bluetooth headset. They both work in other games and apps, but in PUBG for whatever reason, there is no audio from the mic. I always verify in Steam that the right mic device is elected, and microphone tests are always successful. I've tried reinstalling the game too.

Hello,
Bought the game recently and was having a blast for a few days, had some minor dc/texture bugs that i resolved with turning off NVidia Share feature but then something started to happen.
After random period of time (aprox 10 minutes into the game, noticed that it likes to freeze in vehicles) screen freezes with loud drone sound (similar to likes of headset jack touching line in on amps) and my whole system becomes inresponsive, none of the functions work, even hard restart button on case doesnt work and i can only power it down with holding power button.
Ive tried atleast 10 different tweaks, tips, configs and stuff but nothing works and im kinda discouraged to play now since hard powerdown that happens 3 times in 30mins cant be good for hardware :P
My specs are;

8GB DDR4 @ 2400MHz
Gigabyte GeForce 1060, 6gb
Regular 7200 Rpm Disk

I would check your system temps whilst you're playing
as it may be your system overheating.

The game freezes occur if the game runs from an HDD, the reading speeds are just not quite there
You mentioned that you've tried many guides. Id suggest you reverting the .ini files to default values and use these ingame settings:
Anti Aliasing -High
Textures - High
View Distance -High or ultra
Maybe Adjust the brightness a bit higher up (up to your liking)
And the rest of the settings please in very low

@viral monolith Are you guys working on the melee system? I played in the alpha and I remember the melee weapons working. For now, when you pick up a melee weapon and swing it at close range, hits only land around 30% of the time. This also applies to the unarmed system. A melee system that lands hits would make the beginning game encounters more valuable. Currently all players in a vicinity of a weapon run for it and then the one that can pick it up, sometimes doing solely to do with desync, slowly backs away from others swinging wildly trying to land that final blow before they reload, ultimately 70% of the time, they will down all the players attempting to end them with their weapons resembling half corporeal nerf swords.

the issue is that the sound device doesn't seem to update for the voice comms whereas it does with the normal game sound when you change the default system device
basically when i change my default OS sound device after the game launches/mid game the game sound successfully goes to the new default device, but the voice comms do not

the only thing i'm adjusting is the default playback device in the OS (ie change from headphone device to speaker device)
but when i do this once the game is launched, only the game audio changes device and the voice comm (listening to other players speak) remains on whatever the original default was

ok...I have noticed if I have my monitor speakers on, then load up PUBG and jump into a duo match, and then switch back to my headphones/mic, I can only hear the other person through my monitor speakers.

so, basically i think it's looking at the default device initially, binding the voice comms to that device somehow whereas the game sounds themselves seems to instantly change when the default device changes

This may be a question without a solid answer, but as of yesterday I have started having serious ping/lag issues with PUBG. I'm not having problems with other games but the movement is so fucked while playing PUBG that it makes any sort of serious play basically impossible. I've checked my ping to the game servers and I've checked many other games with similar playcounts and I'm not having issues there. My current ping is 70-100 for the NA servers which is, while not ideal, certainly not the in the range that would make a game unplayable. Is there any fix for this on my end or should I just wait a few months and come back to it?

Around 40 in the starting area and it sticks from 50 to 60 once in the game proper. I don't think the issue is there, especially considering the fact that my friends who I played with aren't having that issue with worse hardware.

@dense yoke well my GPU i have MSI afterburn running and cranked my fans all the way, iv had my case open (my front screen panel only shows CPU HDD and systems Temp and as soon as the CPU gets to 60c the whole system crashes my GPU does feel warm but then so does the lines for the CPU cooler, but the only consistant number i can see is CPU temp 61c and crash

because your cpu might take a higher wattage when it reaches 61c and the PSU doesnt have enough power

I asked this yesterday, I'll ask again now in case there's a different group of people online. I got PUBG around a week ago and got 3 days of playing without any server issues before I hit where I am now - constant, awful, unrelenting rubberbanding and lag issues. This isn't affecting me with any other game (even Squad, which can have an equal player count). My friends that I play with haven't been having this issue, but it's making it unplayable for me. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I tried to move it to my SSD, nothing is helping. I got footage of it this time around: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCIlfeIDs_w
I've pinged the servers and I'm getting around 90-110 ms for NA servers. It isn't ideal, but it also isn't supposed to be this bad. I've troubleshooted the problem in just about every way I can and I can't figure out why this is happening. Does anybody have insight?
I would contact the official support teams but I worry that there would be a long delay just for a generic, unhelpful response. There are a lot of ways to interpret this problem that just end with "you have bad internet" which I'd be willing to bet isn't the reason why it's suddenly an issue only for PUBG.

The buildings dont load when I spawn in the map, they instead look like melted lego pieces. I cannot enter the buildings in this state. How do I get rid of it permanantly?

An HDD does not have sufficient read/write speed (especially if old) to load in the textures for your gpu to display them

Get a cheap 120gb ssd for your OS and a couple of favorite games and you will be much happier with your pc. once you see that 5 second boot you will scream

Move GameUserSettings.ini File to your desktop and delete it from WindowsNoEditor.
