Hey everyone,
I’m having a really annoying issue with PUBG that started about a week ago. Before that, everything was running perfectly fine.
PC specs:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti 16GB
RAM: 32 GB DDR5
Storage: 2 TB NVMe SSD (game is installed on this drive)
OS: Windows 11
Monitor: high refresh rate (I’m running ~260 FPS consistently)
Problem:
The game runs at very high FPS, no stuttering or drops, but textures are loading very slowly or appear low-quality/blurry, especially right after landing or when moving quickly. Sometimes buildings and objects take a few seconds to fully load. This never happened before – same hardware, same settings.
What I’ve already tried:
Verified game files in Steam
Made sure PUBG is installed on NVMe SSD (not HDD)
Deleted config folder:
%localappdata%\TslGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor (game recreated it)
NVIDIA Control Panel:
Power management set to Prefer maximum performance
Texture filtering set to High performance
Low latency mode tested ON/OFF
Checked that PUBG is using the dedicated NVIDIA GPU (not iGPU)
Updated GPU drivers (clean install)
No thermal throttling (CPU/GPU temps are fine)
Disk health OK, plenty of free space
Tried different in-game texture settings (Medium → Ultra)
Notes:
FPS is rock solid, CPU and GPU usage look normal. The issue feels like some kind of streaming / asset loading problem rather than performance.
Has anyone experienced something similar recently? Could this be a PUBG update issue, shader cache problem, or something Windows/NVIDIA related that I’m missing?

This is definitely a bug for the Tenebres Wrapprd AKM. The position of the firing selector's out of place.
Supposively, the position of the fire selector for the AKM when in preview's set to safe, but this skin puts the selector to semi-auto.
