just an idea, what if wiilink make a homebrew news feed that people can use instead of real news? with the same stories that are covered in homebrew tea, but in written form

i have a fully functioning news channel, but i'd still prefer that

and the entertainment category could have wiilink original related announcements

There are also reports of issues in Mexico, so it's not just a PAL issue, is it fixed there? Or is it just established than any language with accents or special punctuation, so basically every country the Wii sold in except UK and US won't get the channels? The issue is 4 months old, and there is not an official error code explanation on the website, I don't think it's getting fixed, which is fine because the service is free and nothing is asked on the user end, but the lack of communication about it is not indicating this issue is being investigating, thus making useless to maintain this thread

hi, just for anyone who still has this issue: I'm from Honduras (USA-region console) & managed to fix it by simply changing the subregion to USA, Washington DC with the anyglobe changer

#

also fixed a bunch of other stuff just with that including weather & opinions channel

#

unsure if this'll help others but just gonna chip in

after some experimenting seems like changing the regions back afterwards does not restore functionality

It broke the day Riiconnect became WiiLink24, and I don't think the proper adjustments will be made to restore the functions before the transfer of ownership, because no one able and with access to fix the issue seem to care unfortunately, so yes, you land on a website that promises to restore your wii functions back to 2006, but when you try you get error 404

Meanwhile it wasn’t a fault from any of the team, multiple API changes caused issues and specially yesterday with the amount of news coming into US feeds it was unexpected

Yeah sure blame the faults they will happen but you can’t just say that it’s because the service passed owners and now the new owner is worse when they’re already loaded with work

The team is trying to be transparent as we can with the issues in the service, but patience is key
