#BootMii won’t boot in boot2
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
ive tried:
- reinstalling bootmii/boot2
- resetting the config
- reformatting the SD card
to no avail
Your Wii isn't old enough
how come i was able to install it..

the blue flash occurs right after startup so thats especially infuriating
just use priiloader
did you set autoboot in bootmii.ini?
if you don't know, send the config file here
yes:
supposed to happen
try adding a hashtag to the start of the autoboot line
yeah.. i know
no dice
did anything change?
try doing the same to the boot delay line
or change the boot delay to a higher number, like 60
nothing seems to be working
might as well just stick with priiloader and bootmii ios, it serves fundamentally the same purpose
does bootmii load with the sd card removed
the blue flash right after startup does
what region is your wii?
america.. so, NTSC
what video cables do you use?
composite
Does this even matter
composite cables don't support progressive
component and hdmi do
Maybe you did something wrong while hacking your wii or its just happen so that one of the block that bootmii boot2 use is a bad one (its normal due to the wii old age)
what are you talking about
You know when you backup you nand with bootmii… sometimes you get those black squares thing well those are call bad block
what you described isn't possible.
And why is that
bootmii boot2 installs to boot2. if boot2 is corrupt, the wii doesn't boot
Doesn't mean anything(?)
Hmmm yeah did not think about that
It does… it mean the block is unusable…
0.125mb
(well yeah not affecting boot2)
Hey im just trying to help ok?
that's fine, but stick to helping with more basic problems until you understand the wii better. if you want to help here, i'd recommend reading through wiibrew to get more in-depth knowledge
. . . I know how the wii work…. I just try to help by theorizing… but did not realize that my theory did not make sense… everyone make mistake
dawg this isn't support
anyways
@steady onyx you didn't respond to their message
yeah cause that was my last idea
but with composite cables being used, the video output settings can't be an issue
@lean pond how did you reinstall bootmii?
https://wii.hacks.guide/hackmii is the method that should be used
The complete guide to modding your Wii, vWii, and Wii mini
wilbrand, which is pretty much the same method on paper
sounds good
okay it still dosen’t work, im at a loss
Try rehacking your wii… idk..
dawg…
regardless, priiloader w/ bootmii ios serve basically the same functionality, and if i truly need boot2… ill just maybe figure it out sometime
