Hi! So I just changed the region of my vWii from JP to USA cause I can’t bother holding up my phone to translate text anymore. Most of the texts are now in English. However, when I try to access the Wii settings ( I do have the Wii setting options enabled in priiloader), I get an opera error. I have been doing a lot of research and it seems one of the ways to fix it is to use vwii nus downloader. I’m not sure if that would work so I’m open to any advice regarding this thanks!

Okay I’m sure my Wii U is mostly in English but still Japanese region cause it’s already like that when I bought it

Yeah I also opened decaffinator and it detected Japan region

So you haven’t done a proper region change for your Wii U? I’m guessing you just use SDcafiine to replace language files

I’m guessing so cause I was not the one that modded the Wii U, I only modded vWii

Actually,I'm curious if there is any other way than region changing wii u and then use decaffinator

Coming back here for an update. Complicated but long story short, region changed Wii U-> light mode in decaffeinator to fix vWii -> failed to load vwii as cannot do system update even tried all unlock update methods -> restored vwii nand and region changed it again -> still get the opera error in Wii settings option

Is there anyway I can accept eula without going to the settings?

Also tried to open wii link mail patcher but got error -51030

I haven’t opened all the channels but I opened the weather one and it says cannot load cause there’s no standby connection or sthg like that

The permanent vwii system settings option is supposed to bypass the need for a NNID. This doesn’t explain still why you are getting a semi-brick in your Wii settings. I suggest you double check your Wii U region change guide then do a proper decaf on the vWii to be able to download the new region.

Not sure if this is useful, but when I downgraded to v1 but kept payloader.ipx, the minute menu did not load, instead, it just went straight to the Wii U menu saying the system will do an update now

I was scared so I just turned it off lmao

I had payloader.ipx because it was in the guide for region changing Wii U

What if I just use the old patcher to get the riiconnect24 wads again then use them to uninstall those channels?

You can delete those with a title manager such as any title deleter mod
