I have 2.0.1 patcher and cant get past confirming registration with my friends console, we both ran the patcher and news and forecast were working meaning the service was working no?

I assume its because we have already patched before, its showing the wii console number, and its probably already in the db

I also assume the mail patcher is what allows riconnect service to work and allows forecast and news channels to work as well

there could also be that issue, but atm the mail service is having some issues on the server side, so you might be having both the issues

Ok after launching the forecast and news channel i tried it again and it says duplicate registration, so i assume im good however still not able to add a friends console etc, still says confirming registration

ok so for that both of you will need to resend the registration message

it should do that manually, but to be sure delete the contact and read

Ok we both deleted each others consoles and readded to the address book, still showing grey and says this

We've removed and added a few times assuming that when the server was down it ignored it etc. Is it possible you need to remove our console IDs from the server and we start fresh with the mail patcher?

I saw the service announcement, seems like this is what we are dealing with. So I assume if we delete and readd each other, whats the time frame to wait before we can assume its not working? Any idea on the duplicate registration we both show that you arent seeing on your end?

then re-register

then reload the wii menu, wait a little more than 1 minute then reload again
