You say it's with a specific game so maybe it's a bad "dump"? I would suggest trying to use your game in Dolphin Emulator. Let me know if you have issues in there.

Most likely a bad copy of it, there is one that's corrupted going around that comes up as a camecube game in dolphin and black screens

I'd get another copy from elsewhere and see if it has the same issue

Also don't think this is a rule 3 moment cause they're not asking how to pirate it, just how to make a game work, shouldn't matter where the game came from imo

Sometimes also, there are different versions of discs like Wii Sports

There are missing animations in the earlier disc compared to the latter
