I want to put my Wii on an online server, to try downloading the old channels that I never had the chance to try like the forecast one or the news one. Would it be possible?

#

And I have some problems too connecting to normal internet, right now I'm trying to do this

is your wifi 2.4ghz

#

802.11b/g

#

or 802.11b/g/n mixed

austere salmon
#

Is not. I know that Wii sopports only this tipe of connection, but I saw a video where he uses his Hotspot on his phone to send it to the Wii with that tipe of connection

next flume
#

yeah it needs to be 2.4ghz

I have a Xiaomi phone and I don't find the option to change the tipe of connection sent by the Hotspot. Do you know any other idea to connect it with that tipe of connection?

#

use your wifi

#

or ethernet

austere salmon
#

You mean that I should change my internet options so it gets up to 2.4?

next flume
#

you can try that

#

what happens when you try connecting it to your home wifi?

#

or were you using your phone's hotpot

next flume
#

sorry if I'm confusing u

austere salmon
#

Would it create any problems with the connection I currently have on my Phone/other devices?

refresh the list a couple times

#

if it still doesnt show then you will have to mess with your router settings

austere salmon
#

I tried, it gives me my home wifi and my neighbours wifi

austere salmon
next flume
#

not rlly

austere salmon
#

Do you know any video that would help me?

next flume
#

nope, idk what router or ISP you have, sorry😢

austere salmon
#

Thanks anyways, you were really helpful and nice to me 🙂

next flume
#

though before you go look for the settings, you put WPA2 right? and made sure that the password was correct?

austere salmon
#

Yeah I'm sure, my Wii can try connecting to my wifi everytime but it just can't connect becouse is not 2.4

next flume
#

thinking about it more, I think it is 2.4ghz, but it's 802.11 n which is unsupported iirc

austere salmon
#

I can modify my wifi options on the Wii itself

next flume
#

You can try that, though I think this is a router issue

austere salmon
#

I'll send here some photos to let you see it something is wrong. Only issue is that my Wii is Italian and probably you won't understand everything

next flume
#

ok 👍

austere salmon
next flume
#

try turning off proxy server

austere salmon
#

This are server proxy's options

austere salmon
next flume
#

thats probably the issue

austere salmon
#

Ah

#

With option then should I put?

next flume
#

select "Don't Use" or Non Usare

austere salmon
#

I tried to put that and do a connection test but it doesn't seem to work

#

I'll try again rn

next flume
austere salmon
#

It's 513330 one

next flume
#

oh

austere salmon
next flume
#

then it's a router issue

#

like I said earlier, idk what router you use, but look for 2.4ghz, and select 801.11 b/g/n mixed or anything that isnt 801.11n by itself

austere salmon
next flume
#

dont think so

austere salmon
#

Thanks so much for your help ❤️

#

I have an inter router

#

Like, it's inside my tv

next flume
#

oh

#

then I guess you can try changing it from there

austere salmon
#

When I bought it it was already in it, you think I can still modify it?

next flume
#

possibly

austere salmon
next flume
#

idk how but you can try

austere salmon
#

Just found this, isn't it like the WPA2 thighs?

next flume
#

I dont think so

austere salmon
#

I can't find any other thing about the router

#

I don't think I can do much else
