wdym sd backup
If you made a backup, you should be able to see a file named nand.bin on your SD card. That's the NAND you backed up.
Now go to Dolphin and find a section that says "Manage NAND" and then import the NAND.
yes?
Literally i just copy and paste my entire SD
ok
There is no an a copy
can you screenshot your SD's root directory?
Im not at home rn but im doing the best
What's that nand folder? Everytime you make a first backup it saves on the root directory. (sd:/nand.bin)
Just the nand folder.
That's not it.
It already did
Interesting, try to run the backup again.
Also, do you have a GameCube controller?
Nah
You need it to restore your NAND.
he doesnt have bootmii as boot2 iirc
So, do i must to do an a copy again from the nand?
but do you have bootmii as boot2
Pretty sure, yeah. If you have BootMii as IOS you must enter a KONAMI code to proceed a recovery. You don't need a GCN controller when you do a backup.
if you have it as IOS dont apply the nand
dont even bother getting a GCN controller if you have bootmii as ios and use it just to apply the NAND
bootmii source code is avaliable so my friend is compiling a bootmii version without a konami code
i mean, dont apply the nand backup if you have BootMii as an IOS
its dangerous
boot2 is safer, but IOS is not
use a nand programmer or a modchip
then whats the actual purpose of using bootmii
aint no brick protection if i can only backup
okayuh then..
infectus
power and reset (eject button to skip verification in nand backup)
or a gcn controller
Wich i sellect?
Wich one i had to choose?
So i must to choose that one to get my nand?
yeah
Alr Ill free my SD and then get the nand
ok
The first option is backup, the second one is recovery. 3rd button is credits while the 4th is just go to back. You should get atleast 20 bad blocks, that's fine. I got zero bad blocks when I did a verification, without there are around 12. marcan said lower 80 blocks is fine.
(if you have made a nand backup [nand.bin] it will ask you if you want to make a backup and that itll overwrite your old backup. avoid this by renaming your first nand with anything else like firstnand.bin, secondnand.bin, thirdnand.bin)
sixtyninethnand.bin
Yo
How much Space do i must to have on the SD card?
@minor rune
By last backup was 528 MB, but I would suggust making sure you have at least 1GB so you know you are fine.
FUCK, that's heavy
i have already fulled, im gonna try to bough more space
Just wait until you find out how much space is required to backup necessary components of the Wii U/vWii. There are other components that I don't have that can fix uncommon bricks with the right tools. A full backup on the Wii U is 32 GB. As storage has gotten more and more plentiful, the Wii's 1/2 of a GB is only the tip of the iceberg.
Your Wii nand backup will fix everything that is fixable.
as well as being able to use all features in Dolphin
At least 512 megabytes.Your backup might be larger if you installed channels. Mine is 558 MB.
Yeah. That's why I was saying he should have a gig at least.
i think a gigabyte is a lot for a nand backup
he should get 1 gb free if he wants to make another backup and save his old one
Well, it's guaranteed to work. You don't want to rely on a program to decide if you have enough storage or not.
i have a 16 gb sd card and i can store like around 20+ backups
I'd say you could have 24.
I said 24 assuming some more a bit more than 500
@foggy gyro We're talking about the Wii, not the Wii U.
yeah, you should've just replied to me but I see what you're saying
my wii backups is prob around 550mb and i ahve a 128gb sd card for it (gonna swap to a 2gb soobn and use the 128 for my wii u exclusively)
thats some 250 backups ig
One thing I never got was, why do you want a Wii and Wii U? What is there that you can do on a Wii but not Wii U's vWii?
um uh, wii games run better on wii compared to wii u
plus i kinda like having games on my external instead of installed to console
You should still be able to use the sd card on the vWii.
i have my games on a 1tb external hdd
they run better on vWii
they do?
vWii is a triple-clocked gamecube
huh
my man
well i already have my wii set up so no point now
wii is a overclocked GameCube
while vWii is a triple-clocked (overclocked 3 times) GameCube
kk
p sure they run at the same fps

The Wii U is able to upscale Wii games - but does it really look any better? We put it to the test with one our favorites, Skyward Sword.
