I installed the Riiconnect24 clear application, cleared the system folder, and upon reinstalling RiiConnect24, i still get the error NEWS000099, the forecast channel works fine, it's just the news channel that doesn't work

This may be a little weird but I also kept getting that error, and just waiting the next day usually fixes it, I believe 000099 is just an error that happens for unknown reasons

Are you sure that you're deleting the vff? If so then if waiting a day doesnt work, reinstall the wad

If you have the clear tool, you can just select the News Channel vff and it will automatically delete it

oh, well i ran the clear tool and re-set up my wii and the channel still gives that error

It’s a Wii error. Sometimes it can be due to an invalid or corrupt vff file

Delete forecast channel data delete news channel data delete wiiconnect24 mailboxes and delete nwc24msg.cfg

That deletes the VFF

not a Sysconfig

It says “downloading this may take a few moments” then fails and gives me the error

What if it’s a connection issue

Are you supposed to keep the dns custom after you install riiconnect

Or can you change it back to automatic
