FAT32
What brand is the sd card?
SanDisk
What allocation size did you use
im using a 32gb microsd with an sd card adapter
Lol
Connect the drive to your PC, then search in windows for cmd and press enter.
in the command prompt, type chkdsk x: but replace x with the letter for your drive.
then screenshot the output.
Looking to verify that no issues are found and that you have
32kb (32768 bytes)
If you have a different allocation unit size backup your data and reformat to FAT32 with the correct allocation unit size.

So you need to reformat anyway

Reformat the sd card
ok, to what?
There's also a quick video tutorial on how to use Rufus and what options to select at the bottom:
You can use Rufus (https://rufus.ie) on a Windows machine to easily format an external hard drive or SD card for use with your Wii.
You need these settings:
- Turn on
List USB Hard Drivesunder Advanced drive properties, and select the correct device at the top - Boot selection:
Non bootable - Partition scheme:
MBR - File System:
FAT32/Large FAT32 - Cluster size:
32 kilobytes
You may also want to turn off Create extended label and icon files, found under Advanced formatting options, as to avoid your hard drive getting plagued by the Rufus icon (it's harmless)
I did it, now it has 2 files named autorun
You can delete them if you want
ok
Now move everything back over
Yes
Yes
Try again
still the same results
Ah, corruption can also be the cause
Did you eject the SD before removing it from your PC?
No and now I feel dumb
cause i forgot to
if need be I can show my sd card layout
Should I just get a new SD card all together?
or is that not the issue
i would
ok... I will
its so strange because it should work if i can launch homebrew apps from it
any good SD suggestions that will last?
sandisk just safely eject it from now on
What no
Just use the same SD
You just need to repair it again with the chkdsk
Also, next time do N
gotcha
Because that recovered data is useless
Ok thanks

Make sure that your write protect slider is in the up position like in this image https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/764412292262658069/978284069207027712/unknown.png
mine locks itself sometimes it might be the issue
if it is im so sorry for wasting time
mine was down because mine works opposite
Like when you insert it into the Wii it’s unlocked, and take it out again it’s locked?
sometimes likes it loose idk why
Okay so get a piece of scotch tape and tape the write protect slider in the up position
Then try again
IT WORKED YESSSs
sorry
just happy
sorry yall
