finding a lot of inconsistent answers in here. people say to put in a new api key, that doesn't work. some people say to try wii-mc-ss, that also doesn't work. someone said that it's just broken and to wait, it's been a week since they said that. what is the actual problem and what's the actual solution?

just tried wii-mc-ss without a new onlinemedia.xml file, now it just loads and says the same error as the title without even buffering

thought it might be because i didn't have riiconnect24 installed right
did that
now, whenever i boot into any wiimc, the online media folder is blank
even on fresh installs after deleting the old copy
on everything
yeah there's just no contents on the line
what did i do wrong?
think i fixed it, but videos still don't play
buffer screen pops up, goes away, no video plays
doesn't even have the "error loading file" screen anymore
