Okay well first off you don't have bootmii and priiloader installed. Second off is it for all games or just one game?
Also are you using an sd card, usb HDD or a USB flash drive
It’s all games and I’m using a usb drive
As in flash drive?
Yes
That might be the main problem because flash drives are not recommended, they tend to cause problems by getting corrupted or not working at all
The only reason why i say that is because the ios's are correct besides you not have bootmii and priiloader installed.
Yeah I was thinking it could be the problem but I used a different one before and had the same problem, then switched to a San disk
But I can’t use an sd cuz I don’t have a reader
Yeah, i highly recommend a sd card or a USB HDD. for the sd card you can always get an usb-sd card adapter
Yeah I literally went and bought one and it just kept glitching on my pc😂
SmartQ C350 USB C sd Card Reader and USB 3.0 Super Speed Memory Card Adapter for MicroSDXC and SDHC Card, SD, SDXC, SDHC, SD Cards, Works for Windows, Mac OS X, Android Devices, OTG Adapter https://a.co/d/4E2XIUG
This is an example
Yeah, a lot of people have this exact issue with usb flash drives lol
My first issue was when I tried to launch a game on usb loader it would go black for a second then just go back to homebrew, and ppl were saying to just get wii flow and it worked for them but then this happened lol
Lol this happens a lot with flash drives like i said but you can get an decently sized hdd for pretty cheap now
so should i use just an sd card or a hard drive?
For the best results use the sd card for hombrew apps and other stuff like that and use the HDD just for games
ok thank you so much for your help
hi i don't know why wiiflow nor usb loader gx are not working. I was previously using usb loader gx without any problem but i went on a travel and when i returned my wife changed something and now i cant load games

any of you can check if there is a problem with the ios settings
??
You don't have the correct ios's installed. Use this to install them also you don't have priiloader which add another level of brick protection i'd recommend getting it also
@bleak fog Did you update the cIOS's and install priiloader?
what hard drive would work for this?
USB Sticks/flash drives are not recommended to use as they often cause problems. It is recommended that you use an HDD. SSDs are also compatible but wont give you any more benefits of an HDD on a Wii. If you need recommendations for a cheap HDD, here’s a few

will i need to reformat them or partition them down to 32gigs?
Yeah, it's recommended to be FAT32, with the partition style MBR and a 32kb cluster size
You can use Rufus (https://rufus.ie) on a Windows machine to easily format an external hard drive for use with your Wii.
You need these settings:
- Turn on
List USB Hard Drivesunder Advanced drive properties, and select the correct device at the top
- Boot selection:
Non bootable - Partition scheme:
MBR - File System:
FAT32/Large FAT32
will i only be able to use 32 gigs if i do that?
sorry for all the questions im just fairly new to this
What, no the 32 in FAT32 is a format option
yeah but when i partitioned this one thumbdrive it just shrank it
The wii can read FAT, NTFS and WBFS but it's recommended just to be FAT32
That could have been a number of things, like how big was the flash drive
64 gigs
And what did it "shrink" to?
32 gigs
Do you still have it
Lol it sounds like it had multiple partitions
You have an sd card
yeah
What's the capacity?
32 gigs
Did you format it to FAT32, with the partition style MBR and a 32kb cluster size
nah i just checked that it was on fat32 on my pc then put usbloader, cios, and priiloader on it
and put it in the wii
Were the apps there when you went into HBC
yeah
Okay, so it's MBR, do you know the cluster size
nada
yeah, im not sure if i can load games off of the sd card, so i just put the games on a thumbdrive and it still had the usbloader issue
Okay, first you can play games off an sd card
Second, there's multiple things that would cause games not to show up
the games show up they just dont launch
and do they work off usb loader when they are on the sd card?
Black screen or does it take back to the wii menu or HBC?
takes me back to hbc
Do this
To help troubleshoot your issue please run Syscheck and test all IOS on your Wii by following this guide:
https://wii.guide/syscheck
When it's done it will generate and display a syscheck.csv file.
Power down the Wii and insert the SD or USB into a PC. Drag and drop the syscheck.csv file from the root of your SD or USB into chat.
You can also upload the report and link the URL to chat or take photos of the entire report if you don’t have a USB or a SD reader on your PC
i did
An updated one?
Make a new one then post the file here because you install priiloader
ok
Nope just priiloader
Okay, i'd recommend installing bootmii and making a NAND backup
What is a nand backup?
Basically your Wii's memory

Okay, do you know how to load priiloader
i already did
hold reset while turning on the wii and selecting the options the website said to
after loading it
Okay, go down to Load/Install File
Do I need to have internet on for this?
No
Ok I’m here
Okay, now look for the file called boot.elf
There isn’t one
And you scrolled down?
- Get the Hackmii installer here: https://bootmii.org/download/ Extract the .zip file, copy the HackMii Installer folder to your apps folder. You can make a folder called apps if it does not exist already. Then run the HackMii Installer via the homebrew channel to install Bootmii to IOS and boot2 if you can.
- After installing Bootmii, follow this guide to use Bootmii to create a NAND backup: https://wii.guide/bootmii
Follow this
Ight I’ll lyk when I’m done
Ok
Wait there is a section on the priiloader menu that says bootmii iOS should I look at that or nah?
No
Did you install it
Oh I'd recommend verifying the backup
I am
Okay cool
When it's fully complete, it's recommended to copy nand.bin and keys.bin from the root of your SD card to a folder on tou computer for safe keeping
Ight
Should I just put some games on my sd card in a wbfs folder and run them in usb loader now?
^
Put one game in the wbfs folder then show me inside the wbfs folder and inside the game folder pls
Ok
also should i move them from the sd card or just copy?
Just copy
where would you recommend i download games from cuz some cites are weird for me
ill download this game from here but there isnt a very wide variety lol
do i just download the folder with the game name?
Try to just get these
Wii games get .wbfs files
Gamecube games get .rvz
im putting it through backup manager now
Nice
if i did it like this will it have the cover image for the game?
Omg bro it finally is working
Thank you so much you have no idea how much you have helped me😭
Covers are a little different
i got the cover
Okay nice
thank you again i would have never gotten this finished without your help
NP, alright imma close the post if you good
