#blank slot in data management (save data), need to delete it somehow
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
i was just ignoring it since it wasnt causing too many problems aside from it crashing sometimes when i tried to exit the menu
but now i need to move saves to the sd card
selecting the sd card will crash the wii
already tried looking for suspicious titles or data in wii mod lite but they all look normal
looking at every single save file for corrupt data on dolphin will take way too long
and i dont really want to format unless absolutely necessary
(the nand check tool found some poopy data, but deleting them didnt fix it and the slot is still there)
probably a corrupt save file but where is it
the channels portion of data management works fine
Wiiflow has been known to cause corruptions in certain save files
Does hitting copy on one of the saves not work?
on the blank slot, no
I mean for the non corrupt save files
So do you recommend USB Loader GX rather than WiiFlow?
copying smb2 to sd
button is blank but priiloader lets me click it anyway
data has been copied
it still crashes
Its rare, usually
Okay 👍
Okay do that for every save on your Wii
(You may need to use save game manager GX for some games)
are we preparing for formatting
yeah… it’s the only way unfortunately
rip
You will probably have to reinstall Homebrew channel again. You can run the hackmii installer through priiloader
do i move every channel possible over to sd too
Yeah I think it formats those too
ok
I could be wrong
I’m guessing it would at least keep the nessesary stuff like the mii channel, photo channel, etc
will the wii let me move them back after formatting
What if u just move the save files to sd
Drag the files to the desktop pf ur computer
It should. And if not save game manager GX will
The private file
the channels i mean
Which channels are you transferring
Like do you have any virtual console titles or anything that may require specific keys
i had some nes vc but i dont really play them
You may just need to reinstall the wad with a wad manager
For some of the channels anyway
Why does the "selecting the SD card slot will crash the wii* sentence relate to a problem I have. I'll make a thread about it anyway
for me that only happened in the save data section
the channels section worked fine
Oh
@verbal moat was this solved
yea
aight we can close then
i forget we can close threads
