Yes, it can be a pain though. It’s usually more worth it to buy an unmodded Wii and just mod it yourself, unless it was a good deal

#

It’s going to depend on the mods that are currently installed. What I would have you do is a syscheck to test all your iOSes, homebrew channel version and whatnot, and then would go from there

#

Generally there’s probably going to be some outdated cios, in which we would delete

I think IOS just means input output system. They do different various tasks

yes, but you might brick your wii if you dont know what you're doing

Yes that’s really good not a lot of people have that

#

To help troubleshoot your issue please run Syscheck and test all IOS on your Wii by following this guide:
https://wii.guide/syscheck

When it's done it will generate and display a syscheck.csv file.

If you have an SD, power down the Wii and insert the SD into a PC. Drag and drop the syscheck.csv file from the root of your SD into chat.

If you don't have an SD, you might get an error. Just continue until the report is displayed. You will need to upload the report and link the URL to chat or take photos of the entire report.

Let’s see what is on your Wii first

#

Why?

#

The homebrew needs to be updated regardless

#

Oh I read that wrong I thought you said you had it already

You won’t need it

#

Nah

#

Don’t follow youtube tutorials

#

You probably won’t even have to reset it back to stock

#

That’s going to depend on what’s installed

Hey I just did this by restoring a nand backup cleaned through ohneswanzenegger, I'll link you to my support thread where I describe the procedure. You'll just have to make a nand backup through bootmii first. Keep in mind this can be risky if you don't know what you're doing or if bootmii is not installed in boot2.

Bootmii will not overwrite the bootloader blocks regardless

#

I believe boot1 and boot2 are stored in the first eight blocks that always remain grey when restoring a nand backup

Go ahead
