Pretty much as the title says; in one port (the one closest to the disc slot), I get the countdown screen saying it's searching for the HDD. in the other port, I get stuck at 'initializing USB'. waiting the counter out loads me into usbloaderGX but I'm unable to start any of my USB games. This only started after I added mario super sluggers, it worked fine a few days ago. Any help is appreciated, hope I gave enough info, thank you :)
edit: removing mario super sluggers from the USB does not fix the issue.

Is it a flash drive
yeah but its formatted to NTFS and worked fine a few days ago
Try FAT32
It’s more compatible
the option isnt there in the windows formatting tool, is there some other way i could do it?
Use this http://ridgecrop.co.uk/ and set it to 65535 clusters if it’s above 64GB

got you, i'll try this out and let you know if it works. thank you :)
I reformatted the drive and set everything up the way it was days ago; now it gets past 'initializing', but the usbloaderGX menu shows no games and starting anything from a .WAD just sends me back to the home menu
its definitely picking up the drive now, it just cant seem to pick up anything on it. i just have a folder of wbfs files but i feel like maybe im missing something
Well that’s probably because you’re using a flash drive
i mean, yeah, but im confused because it worked fine a few days ago. ive never had an issue with this flashdrive
Wiis wear down and sometimes flat out corrupt Flash drives very easily
oh ive never heard of that. im 99% sure the drive itself isnt corrupted but i guess there could be an issue with how the wii is reading it
Flash drives aren’t meant to be constantly read to and written to
