The first photo shows how it’s displayed on Streamlabs/OBS Studio and the second one is how it’s displayed on 4K Capture Utility. Even if I record my gameplay on the latter, when I play the video it’s in 4:3 and I have no idea how I can fix this

I already removed the black parts of the screen and I haven’t found anything on those softwares that could change how it gets displayed..
Oh and another info: the Switch doesn’t have this problem. It’s perfectly displayed in widescreen mode

have you tried adding any sort of filters to the video capture device in obs?
cause one of those might be able to fix it

The simple answer is that the Wii ain’t true 16:9 so the only way to get rid of the gray bars is to resize the recording manually
