Can i install Riiconnect24 via USB drive?

Since I don’t have an sd card but I only have an usb with 32 Gigabytes will installing riiconnect24 and the homebrew channel work?

Is Bootmii necessary?

A usb drive can be used to partially install homebrew on your wii. However you won’t be able to install bootmii which you should NOT skip.
