I've tried to patch wii mail using the patcher multiple times this week using both my home wifi and my phone's hotspot, and neither have worked

One of the ones that can have bootmii installed as boot2, which is nice

The nintendo channel, news and forecast channels work perfectly too

Though when I turn on WiiConnect24 at the Wii settings, channels like VoteMii seem to work fine. Does that mean the Mail Patcher can be skipped?

you can skip the mail patcher yeah, other WiiConnect24 channels work fine for me too, but if you don't run the patcher then you cant use wii mail, which i personally want to do
