So the first one basically works like
Box1 connects to router
Box2 can be put anywhere in the house
Box1 transmits the wifi to box2 and box2 is connected to the Lan adapter
The Lan adapter usb port is then connected to the wii u

I only got the first one ( which is expensive) because my router is all the way in the living room and it isn't practical to connect such a long cable from there to my room.
