Still didn’t find answer to this, basically I have a wii mini and I’m trying to mod it, bluebomb worked, set priiloader, installed cios, even usb loader gx, the one suggested on wii-guide, I was looking at the settings on usb loader, and after a bit everything I can presso on that I press makes the click sound and I can’t click it anymore, after I pressed everything it just stucks, I can see the wii hand moving around but nothing else, I manually have to unplug power supply or hold power button, doing this just delete everything on my usb (8gb sandisk fat32, tried even 32gb, nothing change). If I put a game on the usb, usb loader would boot but with a white screen and no button, I have to force reset and it deletes everything, if I install some usb loader found from a YouTuber it works but when I try to load a game it stucks on a black screen, before setting everything on fire anyone could please help me? I’m kinda desperate at this point

Any usb hard drive 2tb or smaller should work. If you're low on money, just get the cheapest one you can find

There's no benefit to using an SSD over a hard drive with the Wii. The loading times are not better. They're more expensive per GB. Also some external SSD like the Samsung ones have a USB controller that is not compatible with the Wii.

If the drive is larger than 32GB, you will need third party software like GUIFormat or Wii Backup Manager to format your drive to FAT32

If the drive is 64gb or less, format it to FAT32 with 32kb (32768) cluster / allocation unit size.

To help troubleshoot your issue further please run Syscheck and test all IOS on your Wii by following this guide:

When it's done it will generate and display a syscheck.csv file.

If you don't have an SD, you will get an error. Just continue until the report is displayed. You will need to upload photos of the entire report.

If you have an SD, power down the Wii and insert the SD into a PC. Drag and drop the syscheck.csv file from the root of your SD into chat.

I think you should try dumping a game to see if it'll write the game to the hard drive at all.

Brawl would be okay though it's like 8.5gb, so most any other game would take half the time to dump

Pick the game you want to play in your game loader, then instead of playing, open the game specific settings

There should be video mode and language settings

Try adjusting the video mode
