put it on your boot drive, having it on external/secondary drives tends to have permission issue from the operating system.

mine is on the boot drive and it also doesn't work

also tried uninstalling, resetting and basically any voice related command

@weak obsidian I got it working, Go to steam > garrys mod > click on the cogwheel i think > manage > browse local files > and click factory reset garrys mod, wait for that to be done, relaunch gmod and set your steam in game voice settings to push to talk and X
