some argumetns agaisnt from other posts :
1 : tracking is expoensive ressource wise , and APS being oriented toward fast firing , would mean lot of tracking at once = very laggy
2 : APS was not built for it, and would mean rewriting everything projectile wise
3: break balance and make missile less of a thing, and make cram guidance not it's "own quirk"

#

thoses 3 alone completly makes the idea of guided APS very just "no"

#

"lets only allow the shell to be like, for big calibers then" ah yes, so you mean crams
"guided missile just dont do enough" so in the end you just want a stronger missile ? you can literally just buff weapon damage in your campain settings ;-;

that is literally the price you pay for "smart" stuff, smart stuff use lot of place inside the shell, even IRL, so yeah, a guided missile/shell would do little damage

#

or be massive like guided missile bomb, or cram shells

#

only reason its a thing irl is because guided stuff is usually made for squishy stuff, you are NOT made out of 1m thick metal plates, so any kind of small mm sized frag propelled at speed will shred you to a pulp, not in FTD
