The current method's has a serious flaw, in that if the origin turbine is destroyed, the entire base will go down with it, even if it's otherwise fully intact.
Swapping to CoM-based mechanic (similar to normal Vehicles) should solve this issue entirely, as it will only sever the smaller part, instead of the rest of the fortress
