Bump! (Sorry, I couldn't see what happened, because the Text was Blending in with the stuff behind it :3
)
(if it helps the devs, fairly simple fix, would be to just put the text (coloured black) over a white recttangle behind it, that way the text will always be perfectly visible :3)
Replacing all black text with white text could help. Especially if including a text shadow for those times that it ends up competing with sun-flare effects and the like.
not really, because what if like white flayers (for example), then white on white :/, if u have black letters with either white rectangular box behind it, OR a white outline around each letter, then if it white background (e.g. paint up close, or Sky when it a REALLY BRIGHT day), the black text still visible, and if it black background (e.g. silouette) then the white adds contrast separating the black text frm the black backdrop, making it still visible
so, basically, two contrasting colours (like white text withblack textbox background / letter outline, or black text with white textbox background / letter outlining) would make all the difference, regardless of situation
I think the death text should be rendered in a metal band logo font
Old leather couch vibe
skadoosh
watch the devs maliciously comply by making them all obstructively large flashing obnoxious pink text
Please do not give them such ideas
It'd be an idea for april fools though, definitly one of the ideas of all time
Nah, aprifools would be to make all text massive aswell :3
boomp
I wanna see when something dies, please

yeah, like just having a white outline to the text whould make it much easier to read (and one for the damage counter too)
Yes, please
A further alternative might be to get the colour value at the crosshair/cursor and automatically switch text and cursor colour to be the further from that.
So 000 will be chosen when cursor point is AC99A9 while FFFFFF will be chosen when cursor point is 5AA907.
Would still be beneficial for a contrast shadow to exist; lighter for darker text and vice-versa.
that is so complicated tho, if it is white text with a black outline is works regardless:
(same with black text with a white outline :P)
self bump :3 (me wants to see please)

true, we do need this :3
whoops, bumped into the text again... man I wish I could see it clearler
A further possibility is to have the death text added to the text that shows up on the top-left with all the other notifications (but a little more persistent)/pinned while active).
Could be a bit much if you have six crafts dying at once.
The top left text like the one that whines about f to fill errors needs to be moved, or the movement control icons need to be moved, they all overlap which makes the errors unreadable
