Right now FTD has very good gameplay but it could probably use better graphics. It doesn’t even have to be large hyper realistic changes but streamlining the UI and making explosions not have super visible pixels and be more 3d would be nice. Also another thing is it looks weird when damaged blocks just get darker. I think they should get charred or have holes in them to sell the fact that they have gotten damaged.

  1. The skybox is "wrong". Constructables and terrain gets obscured by fog/bad weather, but the skybox doesn't. Since the skybox doesn't get obscured by weather effects, it is percieved as being very close to the PoV, whereas the constructables and terrain must be further away since they're obscured.
Imagine going outside on a foggy day and everything's foggy... except the sky, as though the sun and clouds are somehow right next to you.
  2. regardless of the weather, time of day, or geographical region you're in, the underwater filter is always the same colour and brightness. Can't tell the difference from midday to midnight down there, and that don't make a lick of sense to me.
  3. The water clarity option probably needs to be divided into a above-water slider and a underwater slider. As it is, if you set it up so that the water looks aesthetically pleasing from the air, you're basically blind if you take a dip, and if you set the slider to the max value so that you can see ok underwater, then the ocean looks completely broken when viewed from above.

  1. CJEs don't produce exhaust smoke when running as power generators.
  2. Marine propellers have no sound effect iirc, and the cavitation swirl looks like that of an outboard motor with thru-hub exhaust (i.e. an outboard motor where the exhaust is routed through the propeller hub (yes, those exist and are quite common).
  3. Underwater explosions... not great. Here's some reference material: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5lMRDBseac
  4. Red "[|]" markers are shown even for undetected enemy constructs.
