#Torpedo only Missile Interceptor Option

you can set min/max altitude in ciws controller ruleset
The ints don’t fallow ciwsc rules once fired
Ya, that is the issue I'm having, the CIWS fires them when torps are detected but if there are missiles closer, the interceptor head retargets the missiles. Jump out of the water, missing the missiles then when they land in the water again its usually to late to retarget the torps
You can set them up with a CIWS controller with a maxium altitude and tell them to follow the CIWS controller's prioritization rather than their default prioritization algorithm.
You will have to prioritize them manually but you can do it
That's not how self guided missiles work. It determines it own target and the CIWS just acts as a ACB with more conditions to fire. That might work for a missile with remote guidance, but you don't put remote guidance on an interceptor.
but there's an option on the interceptor head to prioritize the CIWS target. does that not work?
it's right there in the interceptor options
At launch time.
So, as is often the case, if the target is destroyed after launch. IE the first torpedo in a volley. The inceptor head needs to pick a new target. I will not ask the CIWS to pick a new target because it has already passed launch. It does not communicate with the CIWS or AI mainframe. If the new closest target is a missile and not a torpedo it will jump out of the water to attempt to intercept. Am I not explaining it very well? Idk what the confusion is about?
That's true, if the torpedo it's targeting is destroyed, it will revert to default behavior.
But that's solvable. I suggest you set your CIWS to scatter the interceptors between targets more, such as sharply lowering the priority of a torpedo based on how many shots it's had fired at it so they're scattered over the whole enemy salvo rather than concentrated on just one.
