Yes please. There are a few different transition blocks like this that would be nice, like 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 slanted corners

Im for this. It is decoable. But I have to say No. When we have this opportunity to make it an actual block
Saying that something is decoable is just avoiding the actual problem. He's asking for blocks that people have had issues with since the games inception, not some RP deco's

while this may be decoable, there are instances where something can be decoed but is very tedious to get right. there was a post not long ago called ´add this shape´ by zanagrave, which showed an image of a transition ive been wanting myself but cant be bothered to make because it requires very specific angle inputs. i could get it ´almost´ right, but it would still require 2 or 3 decos to get the shape and you would have to redo it or adjust the original inputs if you want a different size version.
btw yes, i would also like to see the suggested block or at least a way to mesh swap it without having to worry about the deco limit.
As a Cronic Fancy Builder, I am ever-limited by this not existing.
sorry for necro but counter-argument, decos create additional lag and are more effort for a lesser result in terms of game quality (own block drag and differing angles for shells like aps to hit, etc.)
A block + a deco creates more lag than a block witthout a deco
You'd still have to put a block there, it'd just not be properly shaped. Then you'd have to slap several decos on top of it
If there were a block that fit in the first place you wouldn't need any decos and marginally less processing power would be used
There's still way too many variations to feasibily add it

there would be exactly as many variations as every other non-rotationally-symmetric shape, i.e. 8
a left and a right variant for each length
This is a really important transition block IMO. It has to be the one I've hopelessly searched the menu for the most since i started playing. A way to blend between the Inverted beam blocks and the offset transitions

yeah the difficulty is theres basically an infinite number of shapes thatd be really nice to have, which is what deco is great for
triangle backed transitions for example nearly doubles the number of transitions
hope they the more that so we can see the negative reviews complaining about too many blocks
This has already been suggested some time ago #1254911934080483379 message, and yes it should definitely be added. Decos shouldn't be needed when blocks can fill the gap perfectly well.
I personally use the Mega Slopes Pack 2 mod (steam workshop), but I did ask for some of the non-OP blocks that mod has to be added to vanilla, and not just triangle backed transitions. You can see some of said blocks by scrolling down after using the link above (5m blocks included). You may also notice that 2m and 3m beam slopes have been added since, but nothing else has, which is very disappointing.

That's the issue as well someone has already made it and you can't just copy it into the game without asking for permission
And megaslopes kinda breaks game balance
the difficulty is in adding 50 billion blocks when decos exist for this exact purpose
just because you dont want to use a feature doesnt mean it isnt meant to do something
If you're thinking that for copyright reasons, I highly suspect these shapes are far too basic to be subject to that
That's probably more to do with the associated code, which is complex enough to not be considered generic
