I've Learned To Live With It But It Would Be Nice To Not Have To

The problem occurs when you try to decide what "up" is when you are on a spinblock at say 45 degrees. What direction does wasd do? It gets incredibly convoluted. (I want this too, spinblocks physically hurt me.)

Make it the normal up for when your not building a subobject and make it togglable

If it helps, you can turn off rendering for water and terrain and slow down the speed of time to help make it easier to build

You really need to think about that for more than 5 seconds

#

I would've done it already if it was as simple as that.

It's even worse when it's spinning.

to help address the spinning, try slowing down the games time

Instead of using capslock, use a base station fotress and a tractor beam

When you want to build on a turret / spinner, adjust the tractor beam so the spinner is upright and the parent vehicle isn't

perhaps it could be a keybind that rotates the camera instead of doing so automatically
