Since there seems to be some demand for this, here's a proposal for APS "shotgun" rounds that fire multiple pellets.
Shotshell Base Module
Breaks the shell up into multiple solid pellets when fired. One slider is available for pellet size/count balance (let's say 8, 12, 16, 24, or 32 pellets with corresponding reduction of the individual pellets' size and mass - running the slider by pellet size instead would lead to fractional pellets existing and that would be weird). A second slider determines spread, ranging from 1 degree to 0.1 degree or thereabout, subject to testing for what feels right in practice.
Each pellet gains the properties of the other shell modules ahead of the shotshell base, as if the shell was divided into many smaller shells with the same components, so for instance explosive bodies would result in multiple explosive pellets and sabot bodies would result in flechette-like armor-piercing pellets.
Edit: We might want a minimum size of 18mm for a pellet to be consistent with the minimum size of an APS projectile, or not, idk. Or a mimimum size of 9mm so at the very least an 18mm APS gun would get two pellets.
Edit 2: This would work better as a base component instead of a head component
