pretty much what it says in the title : DWG craft are so nice to fight at the start of the game, because they are pretty much designed to be the first faction you fight, compared to some other factions that have much harder crafts, better counters, .... With the diplomacy changes , you might not be able to start off by waging war to the DWG , and instead have to fight agaisnt another faction, which might or might not be very hard depending on which one it lands on. I would like to always have the option for the first talks to be able to wage war to the DWG, and it being a "positive commodity" , so that you can always take it, because for some reason sometimes waging war would cost you commodities instead ? idk the intricacy of how it works, but yeah, i would really like to be able to wage war to DWG in my campains as my first opponent !

as you see here, my only option to go alone would be to wage a war agaisnt the white flayers, which are in my opinion one of the hardest faction in the game, and most "'advanced right from the get go" compared to early DWG crafts

How would that work for medium/hard when you dont have a border with dwg?
Does the game currently even check this?

Also wf arent really hard. They are just slightly evasive and use ramming vehicles and nukes, which you have to be mindful of

you can just save the game at the start of a campaign and keep loading until the DWG is an option

It could just be a setting for easy difficulty games, since that's what new people would/should be doing.

I wish campaign progression got a rework so the first 3 factions you fight are DWG, OW. Then WF, Lightning Hoods, and so on.
