#DNB concept

I like it, maybe the bass sounds unusual to me, idk, but in a good way, keep it up!
unusual?
Sorry, I mean, from my perspective, I’d change the main bass, it doesn't quite fit(?), but that’s just my personal opinion. It sounds good, though, I like the concept!

Do you have reverb on the bass in the intro? if so cut out the low end of the reverb (so the only thing that is getting reverbed is the higher frequencies). It's pretty muddy right now. If there isn't reverb on the bass (in the intro), then remove some of the low frequencies on the pad.

The bass is a bit loud (I'm assuming you're a bass head like me).
Making the bass loud doesn't necessarily give the same punch as a good bass. It's hard to explain, but in simple terms:
loud bass ≠ good
bass that sits well with the rest = good.
.
You might want to add a bit more to the background. Right now it's mostly just bass and drums. Adding some stuff in the background would be a good idea (make sure you don't use sound with bass in them, otherwise it will clash with the bass. Meaning they're both fighting for the bass spot).
You can think of mixing as a place for the instruments to sit and be comfortable. Having 2 or 3 instruments that is occupying the same frequency range can be okay, but you generally don't want more than 3.
.
I agree with @echo crest about the bass melody. It's definitely not bad, you're not doing any dissonant leaps or anything that in theory should sound bad. The problem might be that it's doing a lot. It feels like the bass has ADHD.
Summed up:
Focus on mix / make the instruments sit more comfortably.
Add more stuff to the drop (this might be hard since the bass is very present. So focus on mixing the bass first or whilst adding new stuff. I would turn down the bass a bit, cut out a bit of the higher frequencies on the bass, and replace those higher frequencies with a synth. And make sure the synth doesn't have a lot of bass in it, unless you intend to cut them out, which I recommends)
.
My opinion:
I am not trying to criticize or say you're doing anything wrong or bad. I am just giving an objective feedback. I do think this is very nice, and that you have a good ear for music
"the bass has ADHD" bro 😭
ahaha I'm glad you didn't get mad at that comment ahaha.
I used do the same
It's 3 years old, so it's a bit harsh
working on mix and filling in the start
Nice. So you changed the tempo haha. The tempo wasn't the problem. I think the bass is doing too much. But It's definitely an improvement
Maybe give a new instrument the bass melody and then keep the bass simple. I think that would work
added melody
EQ ius wrong now
cbut ill fix that in a sec
I think this is better
