It's a very new style that I started doing.
Don't stop listening in the beggining cuz it changes very quickly.
I appreciate all feedbacks, really need them :D

I dont remember exactly where I downloaded it from

The violin could use a subtle reverb, and it's a bit loud.
The intro was a bit mid in my opinion, so the part at 0:12 really caught me by surprise. Very well made.
The hook (0:28) is needing some elements like high end (maybe some hihats could do).
A thing I like to do in some scenarios is adding a sub bass and the type of bass you already got going on, remove som low end on the one you already got and then add a sub bass. You can just copy paste the bass line, and you can also add a little reverb to the bass without low-end

#

otherwise, well done

Yes

#

The idea is to add 2 basses, one with a good low end and one with a good high end

#

You know what i mean?

dim sleet
#

so like I can earn that with equalizer

tacit geyser
#

Yes

dim sleet
#

I think Iget it

#

I added a new bass

tacit geyser
#

I just feel like your track could use some low end in the drop

#

For how long have you been making music for?

dim sleet
#

I planned give a littlebit more life adding in the end, and add even more violins plays a different in parallel

I made some tracks before, but nothing serious

#

Just listened lots of music, and was thinking about how theyve made, and its all

#

are you corious about some of my other tracks?

tacit geyser
dim sleet
#

now I tried this subbas, already makes a lots of difference, what I dont really understand is the "high-bass", if a sound is high, then it isnt really bass anymore, or I get something wrong?

tacit geyser
#

I can give you an example 2 sec

dim sleet
tacit geyser
#

You can't hear the difference unless you got headphones or good speakers

dim sleet
#

like the saw waves

tacit geyser
#

Probably just boost the low end, would be good. There might be an effect called bass boost

#

You can hear how mine is VERY simple, but the sub bass is making a huge difference, making it sound more full?

I tried downloading the snippet you send so i could give an example on how the bass "should" sound. And realized the problem is probably the sounds overlapping each other.
Try using some eq, and think about the space you wanna leave for certain instruments. Be careful not to remove too much, you want them to blend in with each other

#

.
To sum up:
Add a little more to the low end.
Use an equalizer on the instruments that are clashing.
Turn down the saw and violin a bit.
Add a bit of reverb to the violin (this is mostly preference).
Add some basic hihats (0:29) hitting on 2 and 4
Snare could also hit harder, maybe find a new snare with more high end to it

I love the violin

Originally I wanted to use vocals instead of violins, but I couldn't find anything that would be close as good as I need, so I sticked with the violins, but those arent the best aswell.
But what I really want to stick to, is keeping the contrast between the party-like electronic, and the symphonic instrument / vocal

#

Also Ive never done sidechain before and never made this type of music, so there's probably a lot to improve

tacit geyser
#

Wayyyy better

#

Very nice

#

You can hear the mix it better as well right?

#

I really like the drums

#

Especially at 0:13

Also should I improve something at the "new, sidechain" part?

If you don't mind to pay for vsts then Keyscape, Nexus and Omnisphere should have some really good sounds. Not sure if they do violin specifically, but they're very famous for having quality sounds

dim sleet
tacit geyser
#

Understandable. You can definitely achieve the same kind of quality using free vsts, you just have to put in a bit more work to it

dim sleet
#

yea

tacit geyser
#

I wouldn't recommend overture, but they do have a lot of orchestral sounds, including violin, viola and cello

#

The quality isn't that good, but I've used it a bit

#

and it's free

#

DSK World Stringz is also free. DSK makes a lot of free vsts, but they aren't always that good quality wise

dim sleet
dim sleet
tacit geyser
#

Understandable. You have to do a lot of mixing to get a decent sounding instrument

dim sleet
#

Yes exactly

tacit geyser
#

If you haven't looked for tutorials on mixing, you definitely should. It helped me a lot in getting a more professional sound

#

This is from my electrical piano. All recordings, no vsts. I know it's a comical beat, but the sounds so great in my opinion

dim sleet
#

what I would do is adding strings or instruments in the background of the music

tacit geyser
#

Yea that would probably fit well. But that beat is over a year old, so I'm not going to do anymore to it

#

How long have you been producing?

dim sleet
#

but Im doing "better" music for 1 year

tacit geyser
#

I see. My situation is simular. I played trumpet and clarinet for many years, then it became too much so i quit, took a break from music, then i found LMMS and made TERRIBLE music for like a year. Then i started searching up tutorials, and slowly became good

#

It's all about practice even though you're trash. No one starts out good

#

I wish i had my first projects on my computer but they're all gone

#

It was around 6 years ago i started producing, and it took like 4-5 years before my beats were listenable

dim sleet
#

Cool

#

Then we have similar background

Doesnt you have to pay for both fl studio and acestudio?

tacit geyser
#

Yes, you have to pay for both. I paid for FL studio a loooong time ago. AceStudio is recently, but they have 90 days refund, so I'm going to use it for the next 80 days and then get a refund

dim sleet

#

You're right tho. There isn't a huge difference in what DAW you're using

#

FL studio has some features that wasn't on LMMS when i used it (idk about now), but that made me switch. But even after i got FL studio i used LMMS a lot because it was easier for me in the beginning, but now that i know both pretty well, I prefer FL

dim sleet

Is there any way, to get it for free? Like torrent or idk
