This one feels somehow more homier to me, but does it sound good?

Now: Is there too much sax and not enough other instruments?

What other instruments would go well?

How's the drums? I feel like the beat is well, is there any spots where the song sounds dead and needs something?

hardy edge In different pitches

some people will tell you "this key sounds more happy/sad/whatever than this key", and i'm skeptical of that. one thing for sure, the lower pitch has less high frequencies making it sound warmer, potentially less annoying. that being said i think i like the first one for that reason, it's less harsh on the ears compared to version 2.

Never hurts to try changing bpm a bit to see if it's better

Also turns out that changing the UI on lmms kinda helps in the process
