what you have so far is fine, but it's not really feeling like a song, more like a loop. if you want to keep it minimal with just drums and bass, then you might wanna find creative ways to create variation with them. imo adding some more instruments over time would help a lot though. either way, consider this:

It depends what you are trying to make too. Like this could work as some videogame music if that's what you want. Doesn't sound like a top 40 song and that's ok too

Having a goal might give some direction. Like if you hear a song and wanna make something similar, use that as a reference
