I'm making a track for a multi-genre video game music album.

Context: imagine a world made of rings. Outer ring is 8bit games, middle ring is more advanced retro games, and inner ring (ring 1) is 3d/modern games with a sci fi, cyberpunk vibe

I plan this to be an introductory track to ring 1, but I also want to retain some of the 8bit/retro feels as well, through leitmotifs and instruments

Currently the track is very EDM-y and I want to insert some chiptune parts in there but idk how to make the transition smooth while keeping the track length reasonable

Feed back is appreciated

Have you played The Messenger? The whole multi-gen thing you described reminds me of that

# heady vapor Haven't heard the game but I'll look into it. Thanks for the info

np. btw to answer this, "Currently the track is very EDM-y and I want to insert some chiptune parts in there but idk how to make the transition smooth while keeping the track length reasonable"
I think at your buildup around 1:33 you can start introducing some "chippy" elements during it, then go full / more chippy for the drop

important feedback: banger

could use some rest for the saw-piano pattern(the one that goes bum bum bum, ba-ba ba bum) after the first drop...... but it's still banger
