I can't install LMMS with VST on mint 21.2 using KXstudio repo. is the listed name wrong, this has been an issue every time I've tried to install LMMS in the last year?
sudo apt-get install lmms-vst-full
E: Unable to locate package lmms-vst-full
I don't like using the appimage (memory leaks in my testing across several versions, crash's)

using KXstudio repo
You are not supposed to.
Go to LMMS.io and find the AppImage of either off 1.2.2 or current newest 1.3.
DL the AppImage and follow the instructions to make runnable.
Do remember that VST-support depends on installing WINE
" using KXstudio repo
You are not supposed to."
how? it says to do so on the website? Is the instructions out of date?
How do I get it to run with .deb and vst? I've done so with out issue up until a year ago. I'm confused. I know it needs wine to run vst (I have it working fine in the appimage so I have wine set up correctly). Is says the packege dosn't exist.
"If your distribution offers VST support (requires the installation of Wine) it is generally offered in a separate package. For example, using the KXStudio repository, run this command in a terminal.
$ sudo apt-get install lmms-vst-full"
https://lmms.io/download#linux
LMMS is a free, open source, multiplatform digital audio workstation.
Is one talking to wine properly and not the other? I do see sync vst plugins as an option in settings.
Your answer doesn't make sense.
Go to LMMS.io and find the AppImage of either off 1.2.2 or current newest 1.3.
What in that is not crystal-clear?
I repeat
Only AppImage is supported
It doesn't say that on the download page and I also just told you the appimage is a buggy mess with memory leaks and the .deb isn't. what do you want me to do open the last ten versions in appimage for a day live streaming how it will run out of memory just sitting there doing nothing and the .deb won't.
you can try compiling it yourself
it literally mentions the KXStudio version on the official LMMS site
also, you shouldn't need KXStudio just to install LMMS, the normal repo version should work fine including VST support (assuming wine is installed)
It doesn't on mint last I checked vst failed me last time I did so.
just install the regular LMMS package
VSTs should still work on there
sudo apt install lmms
Let me test and try that I'll report back but last time I tried it failed me.
