It kind of felt like it lost its energy a bit at 0:28, though maybe it's just building up in a different way than I was expecting. Overall the build up is pretty good. And I do really like the layers to the synths. It's a pretty short piece so far, so I'll look forward to seeing where you take it

i agree with messmerd. i think your drums could be much more up front at 0:28

do you think it needs another buildup? 30 seconds of build up already achieves that imo. after that it's time for some payoff. just something to consider / my opinion

not saying dont have another buildup, but maybe not immediately after the first one. buildup -> drop -> buildup -> drop.
