i have the basics setup but i dont know what to do for the main elements. a lead? or arps with a driving bassline? open to any suggestions (the second attachment btw is an idea with a lead).

Is that... a pitched air-horn lead? Whatever it is, it sounds fun c:
My go-to in these cases is some harmony--either some chords, subtle or otherwise, or a few arps along the same lines (usually one leads to the other). A fun way to build is also to have a second lead voice that harmonizes with the first--bonus points if you syncopate with the first. That, a few (more?) noise sweeps, and a couple drum pattern variants ("breakdowns?"), and this'll be well on its way, I conjecture 🙂

(I do note the concordant background drone--depending on development, you could try modulating it. But it's probably heavily reverbed and "spread out", so that feels like a real straw-grasp. Still something to think about!)
