#Contiunuing from feedback archive, here's dariastyle wip again

So immediate thoughts are that I really like the breakbeat segments and trap segments are really good, but most of the hardstyle really comes across as overcompressed to the point of the audio sounding really bad. Really the main segment where the hardstyle didn't sound as overcompressed was 1:18.
The other thing I will say as something that maybe might be worth looking into is adding some syncopation to the hardstyle. I know that typically hardstyle is a pretty strict four-on-the-floor percussive style, but that's exactly what makes me find the genre sound fairly bland from a conceptual standpoint.
In short, biggest takeaway I'd have for you is that you really need to cut down on the compression on the kicks, or at the very least make them more refined so that it doesn't sound as harsh. Even if thats just some EQing to cut the highs back a little bit, it's just really overwhelming as a base sound.
Thanks for the well-thought-out feedback. We'll work on the kick in the hardstyle bits. Maybe we'll give the jersey part at 1:18 a bit more syncopation. The third drop is more hardpsy iirc, but again we'll see what we can do.
Thanks again. Really.
I get you and for me when i listen to it it was indeed kinda harsh
Following Woods' suggestions, Instead of changing the kick and diverging from the hardstyle structure, try spicing things up with the other instruments and chops instead. You'll still have the hardstyle feel but be able to keep it interesting
That'll work.
i loove this song, the 0:39 part of the buildup is a little too loud, and the "oh shit" sample is a little off-beat
slice the "oh" and "shit" and make them fit the tempo
and then echo the "shit" part like 3 times
or u could cut the "it" from shit and echo that
whats the instrument at the beginning?
i think its a pad
Yo can I share a remix of a song I made from a game here?
u make a new post
Can I post a YouTube link or a .mp3?
Thanks
i shall say a rave stab
Probably the last WIP version (or maybe not, depending on feedback). Shouts to @terse magnet & @summer tangle.
ngl...we could do that just by pressing the "fade stereo" button.
fade stereo?
It's a built-in effect on FL's default sampler.
oh fl
Yeah, we've been using FL Studio the whole time. lmao
Well...Acid AJ uses a later version while I merely use FL 20.6 due to my use of a Linux distro and stuff.
However, we try our best to work together.
i could do that but i never tried that
try it
