Wardens and colonials are based on a mish-mash of cultures. You cant point at one country and say they are a direct and complete copy.

that said, warden naming conventions follow Gaelic norms, and the colonials naming is heavilly based off italy. Thankfully the colonials never received the Breda 30 as their TMG.

I've long had an idea for two factions which variously take small influences from Chinese history, however neither is actually based on China

The one that I've developed most is this Finno-Ugro-Tatar-Balto-Slavo-Caucasian mix that had a China-style warlord period during like the latter half of the Great Wars. This country is called Tarkvald and its faction name is the Vanguards.

The second is one that draws inspiration from various non-Arabic cultures of the middle east, particularly from Afghanistan and secondarily Turkey. The country is called Zavisar and the faction name is the Astrals. They have a mandate of heaven type thing going on.

I've posted art for the Vanguards before

To answer your question, its single shot, and doesnt eject the round until the bolt which is directly connected to the crude chamber is manually pulled back, where the round is pushed up through a gap in the top of the firearm by a bit of metal connected to the spring mechanism
