Yeah, I moddeled parts of the uniform after the French WW1 uniform (which is what the hat/rank insignia are)

The aim I was going for though would be the higher the rank, the fancier stuff you get, because it is an empire

And that's what British Empire did before they switched to the brown uniforms, the higher a rank you were the better uniforms, dyes, etc you had access too, and that's sort of my thinking. This character is only a Lieutenant so they'd have stuff not much better quality then an NCO or enlist, but still better, it wouldn't be until Captain or Major that you start getting engravings, fancier insignia and the like

At least that's my idea with it, it is just a fanart concept after all

its a small 4th wall breaker for aesthetic reasons only, but there are color details im keeping for standardized units, for example: Notice how special forces related regiments have a darker blue hue in their jackets and white linings, Navy related ones have yellow lines (WV has a connection to WN so i imagine they'd keep the yellow lining for ceremonial reasons), Armored batallions have darker blue linings and the regiments that belong to the main army corps have no linings and a lighter blue hue

Like how Hoc may be a specialist, but not armored. 82DK is more armored but not anything specialists, same with ITA. I mean makes really good sense. Irl armies usually use golden for their navy’s lining, which is fitting.
I like the distinctions, nice.
