Hello, I can't seem to hear or be heard via voice chat (ambient sounds, gunshots, etc i can hear. It's just the voice chat). When I boot up the game chat shows the following: "Voice Chat Error [6] 3-5025". Tried looking looking for solutions in past messages in this chat and the internet but i'm yet to find one. Tried verifying game files, reinstalling, changing output/input and the problem persists. Any clue how to fix or what's the problem?

Hi, sorry if this is the incorrect place, but the support page send me here.
I tried to play Foxhole for the first time in a couple of weeks/months but it said the download of my profile failed, so I restarted it. Now it's telling me That I'm playing with an alternate account, and they are not permitted to join the opposing faction. Now I don't really know how long a war lasts so I have no idea if I'm still in the same war and I don't want to accidently join the wrong one or get perm banned "with no chance for appeal". I've also looked through the pinned messages and it did mention the failed to download profile bit, but not this alternate account bit. Sorry if it's a dumb question or if it shouldnt be posted here, I'm just afraid to get permanently banned without a chance of appeal.

@forest comet the server capacity is also a limitation of Unreal Engine 4. I think they said that Unreal Engine 4 will start to bug out with high amounts of players, with all the networking involved maintaining 170+ players

I keep running into the same voice chat issue and it seems like no one else is getting it. The voice chat will work for like a solid hour to an hour and a half, then will just completely cut out. No sending or receiving. The voice will freeze on people who were talking last. I try hitting reconnect to voice chat, does not solve the problem.

GPU is more likely to be between 50C and 95C. If it's 75-95C it might indicate it's overheating

Interesting thing I encountered/discovered, turning off enhanced pointer precision greatly slows down the rotate speed of scrollwheel click's rotate. I can aim anywhere on the screen extraordinarily quickly, but there is suddenly no way to move the camera to corner check.

Okay. Then my guess is that you’ve blocked steam from scanning your computer. This means that VAC cannot run, which means that you will be blocked from joining the game by VAC.

Hey @main wave do the BSOD's only happen with Foxhole? If not, then try running the sfc /scannow command in Command Prompt. That will repair your Windows installation. If it only happens with Foxhole, then try updating your graphic card drivers perhaps

To change your name in game you need to change your steam name. Yeah sadly there is no in-game name change but it's your steam nick name.

I hit very annoying "bug" in game. Probably related to render distance. Example from around AW battle field. Some FLAKs are stationed near the small hill. From some angles you can't see those flaks, from the hill, yet, they can see you. It resulting in dying without any notifications or even bullets. You just drop dead.
If you stand in marked, red zone, you are visible for flak guns, but you don't see them.

There are definitely tracers, you can see them in the last two images.
As for not seeing them, it's almost definitely down to terrain quirks fucking up line of sight, not rendering distance.
Can't say much about the sound though; I've been noticing something similar for engine noises of a vehicle, that sometime it's completely cut off, and the only solution is to exit and re-enter the driver's seat.

Having some VOIP issues with my headset Logitech G933 and it seems to be just this headset. People speaking cut in and out rapidly. First I tried the "read first" tips to no success (google DNS, deleted vivox, verified steam files. SIP ALG appears to be enabled, but can't be disabled with ISP and modem).
Tried a different headset, Razer Kraken, and there are no issues. When the G933 is in use, though, I see the "Microphone" taskbar icon show up and disappear every half second. Viewing the list of "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone", I see Foxhole flipping back and forth from "In Use" to "Last accessed X date". (No issue using the G933 for any other program.) I last played Foxhole in early 2019. Didn't have issues then, and I thought I was using the same headset, but can't say for certain. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

youve enabled other programs to use the mic in windows settings?
this is a common problem by the way, but nobody ever clearly states they fixed it - i think one guy had that exact problem and did resolve it and ... mentioned how, but i cannot remember

Interesting. Yeah, I have "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" turned on, and foxhole is one of the programs listed there for recently used (it just toggles on and off, for whatever reason). Just played for an hour or two with the other headset - no issue. Just a shame I can't use the nice G933 headset for this one particular game - very odd. Looks like you're right though - just searched this channel for mic issues and I see "Supportik" with the same thing in August.

Let me try one thing here. An older post suggested "disable audio ducking in the system sound settings under communications tab." Going to give it a go.

No luck with that, sadly. backdraft009 had that solve the issue back in April but doesn't seem to be the case for me. (Control Panel - Sound - Communications - Changed to "Do Nothing"). I'll fiddle around with it a bit more, but at least I know I can use another headset and have it work. (I'll just dub it the official Foxhole headset.)

Hey there we go - found the fix for my situation. Funce back in April posted that changing the Foxhole Input/Output to " Default System Device" stopped the choppy audio, and sure enough that works. I'm not sure why that works differently than directly choosing the headset (which is the default system device), but it works. Thanks for your input - didn't think to search this thread's previous comments until Derp mentioned it's a common problem. (With multiple solutions annoyingly enough - just have to find the one that works for you.)

my voice chat never works. i get a [2] 2-5031 error whenever i start the game. all other game sounds work except voice chat

Hmmm... you could try Uninstalling your sound drivers, then re-installing them...

Ahh and try reverifying all steam files through its client for the game... hope that helps.
